    Just to try and stem the contining misinformation in this thread.

    Team Yao does exist - it consists of Erik Zhang, John Huizinga, Lu Hao and as one of the main guiding forces in Team Yao, Bill Duffy - who is one of the most important and influential NBA player agents. I'm quite sure that he isn't going to Scott Boras for advice. Bill has amongst his clients 'Melo, Steve Nash and Drew Gooden - as well as about 10 years of experience as an NBA player agent.

    Yes, the possibility exists that Yao Ming may leave - but something negative would have to happen for that to happen. Should things continue along the same way they've been going, expect him to be here for a long long time.

    I know that Yao actually has a group people consider Team Yao, but I have serious doubt that this group exists to the extent that edc claims. The "Team Yao" that edc talks about is like some super group that controls the destiny of everything.

    1.Financially consider: Rox should let Yao go after T-Mac, since T-mac makes much more money (10m) than Yao does;
    2.It is much easier to find a guard than a centre (or PF);
    3.In terms of Cham, inside forces are more important than outside.

    Ummm. no. "Team Yao" is his agents and advisors. BusinessWeek covered them last year:

    They don't "control the destiny of everything," but they are his agent(s). The Beltran negotiations with the Astros demonstrate just how much power such folks have.
