Was Latrell Sprewell a head case at all when he joined the Knicks? Wasn't he a *changed* man after a year-long suspension imposed by the league? Did Van Gundy do anything to transform him or Sprewell simply put on his best behavior when he was in New York?

    Please, no revisionist history.

this would imply that he had the story right though, so what is your criticism?

if bonzi keeps acting up i say we trade him to a team in the top 10 of the draft next year and get a big man in next years draft because next draft is going to be filled with talent specially for big men that we desperately need.

no, because he reported the deal as actually done, which it obviously wasn't, or do you remember damon in a houston uniform?

don't trip yourself trying to be a smartass.

    Bonzi

If Bonzi does not work out, would it be wise to pick up Spreewell for the min?

hell no! i'd be willing to bet his conditioning has been from nothing but pick-up games if that. he didn't play last year. he didn't play this year. dude probably still wants too much money.

I never liked that over-rated never-was. The Rockets should trade him for somebody who could actually contribute and not just whine off the court about this and that.

your implication is that the deal fell apart after he reported it. that would imply that there was a deal. I doubt Aldridge caused the deal to fall apart. Obviously there was something going on so I don't understand why you're so harsh on Aldridge its not like he made it up out of thin air. that's his job.

to criticize a reporter for reporting a story that is an actual story is not fair. those guys have a job to do..

edit: I wasn't trying to be a smartass. the issue is aldridge's credibility, your criticism doesn't do anything to his credibility, just shows you don't like him. now that was a smartass statement.

Who do you have in mind? By the way, I still hope Bonzi will be just fine as a Rocket! And if he doesn 't contribute, like you said ... just look at the FA class 2007! Rashard Lewis would love to play for Houston and I love his style! :D

anyway, I don't know if it was posted but jvg had an interview with vandameer and he stated he made a mistake in bringing bonzi back too soon because of conditioning. no telling when he will play.

I was actually responding to someone's question when Aldridge had reported something that did not materialize.

And I think that a sports reporter can be criticized...not fair... give me a break :).

This sucks. This was our Big/Surprise move of the offseason. Nobody thought we had a chance to get him and now that we have him, he is screwing us over. I'm waiting to hear a teammate say something about the situation, which will bring a little more credibility to Aldridge's story. Sooner or later, it will leak on what is going on. I wouldn't doubt that its Bonzi being Bonzi. He got a nice little ovation at the Dallas game when he entered the game and I thought he was really going to bring it. So far hasn't worked out. I'm hoping he can turn it around. For the money that we got him for, we need to make it work. I'm guessing there is no way in hell he will return next year for us so we need to use him this year.

Yeah, there is a real upgarde in character. spreewell. If there is anybody that can ruin chemistry more than Bonzi, its Spree. Why would we do that? This team has good guys in Tmac, Yao and Shane. We don't need a-holes messing up team chemistry. I'm still hoping Bonzi realizes his mistakes and makes a turnaournd.

Now I see the problem....If that is indeed Bonzi's sister on his lap in the photo, he's gonna need more than the 2 mil he got from the Rockets to feed his family.... Bonzi's got a legitimate financial hardship.

bonzi is still going to be a part of this team.

    just watch.

van gundy is being tough on him to break him in... (if he can)

then he'll give him lots of freedom on the court when he is in shape and contributing. bonzi will love it and not hold a grudge.

these guys with egos still want to be coached!

Bonzi's a head case and a waste of bench space... he can opt out after this season so I think the Rockets should trade him now for someone who can actually contribute this season. friggin whiney female-dog...

Spree had plenty personal issues after GS. Remember "Have to feed my family"?

Allegedly he was "changed", but there's only so much one's personality can change.
