I think it is good the league for this to be the 1st round matchup - and I think it will be a good series

rookie coach v. the playoff wizzard
Dirk v. the 3 headed PF monster
    Yao v. the walking stick
    Tmac v. ???

but I take issue with Dallas fans wanting to play Houston, even Rockets homers are realistic about the best matchups

Does he, though? I always change the channel when Stephen "I. I. I. Me Me Me" Smith comes on.

I don't remember him ever saying who he liked in the matchup between Houston and Dallas.

Moreless the strenghts and weaknesses of both teams, but they did predict the outcome for other series rather quickly.

The 4 & 5 spot are the hardest to predict.

Those guys are talking some pretty big smack over there too. Most people are predicting the Mavs win in 4 or 5. Check my sig for another bit of trash being spewed over there.

Hey Dallas dont get too overconfident because Tmac steps up in the playoffs, I think Tmac is going to be huge just like he was with Orlando his first year. GO ROCKETS BEAT DALLAS.

    :D

I think I did get under their skins. They are a bunch of high school kids on that board. I just wanted to throw something for them to think about over the next a few days. Those idiots fell into the trap.

One guy on the board said that the series comes down to Howard vs Tmac. I was like Howard who? I sat there for good 5 minutes, then I remember there is a Josh Howard on their roster. Just LMAO. :D Those guys are too funny.
Now I just hope the Mav players think the same thing. You know they are cocky bunch, and very fragile. We need to explode on them early and quick every game against them. I think our biggest asset is JVG.

Mavtalk.com is a joke. Would you expect intelligent discussions from a bunch of r****ds who start off a thread with post like "discuss, suckers."?

uh, maybe I should be the one to inform you that josh howard is easily one of the best young one on one defenders in the league. definitely one of the defenders you would want to have to counter tmac with -- him or tayshaun prince.

this is coming from a rockets fan.

Coming from a Rox fan -- trying to match up with Dirk, let alone Dirk and KVH.

Josh Howard is 6'10". TMac is universally known for currently having the quickest first step in basketball. IMO, nobody taller than TMac is going to be able to hold him. He will just drive by Howard at will. Where I am concerned with that possbile matchup is with rebounds, however. Howards is an exceptional rebounder on both ends of the floor and may be able to ignite their fastbreak or get second chance opportunities from that position.

48-9-9. You can't and don't defend TMac one on one. And TMac destroys youth.

Dallas doesn't have the team defensive concept and rotations to stop the superstud swingmen. I don't think it's a coincidence that both TMac and Kobe average above their season/career averages (31 ppg for TMac, 35 ppg for Kobe) against Dallas, and both shot over 50% from the field against the Mavs this year- considering they both shoot 43% against the league, that should tell you something

I never said that he can hold tracy, I said if you wanted anyone on him, it's josh howard.
oh and nike, for your information it was tayshaun in his rookie year who was put on tmac for the rest of the series after orlando was up 3-1.
I love tracy, but yall need to take off your fanboy goggles and give other players credit.

as for the game you linked, hi he was unconscious...so was dirk.

Dallas' defense has improved since the Mavs and Rockets played at full strength. Josh Howard will surprise you.

To be fair, all of our games were before AJ took over as the coach. Since he took over, Dallas has seen their opponents' PPG drop from 98 to 91.

That said, I don't think AJ has enough experience to come up with a plan to contain TMac.
