I like Lowry too but I don't think the Rockets can allow Dragic to just walk for nothing.

If you trade him for a draft pick in the teens, you are. Kyle is worth more than that, especially around the league.

Your proved my point though: We're dealing him without a great reason. What if Goran doesn't stay? What's our insurance policy?

Even if Kyle is unhappy with McHale, he will still put his all on the court. He plays with energy every time. I do like Goran's game, but he doesn't posess that same instinct when things start going downhill.

I'm a Rockets fan regardlesss, but to me, when you treat your high-paid investments like a tradechip for a POTENTIAL talent, it scares playes away from your team.

Players want security, especially when they've earned it. Kyle has earned his money and should be in Houston's long-term plans.

If he hadn't had his medical illness, this wouldn't be an issue.

There isn't a single constant on our team outside of Luis Scola.

Hell, we got rid of Chuck Hayes and look what he did for the team. The fact is, you keep some of your core, regardless of the next big thing. That's how your build up. You bring in new talent with the vets, create team and personnel chemistry and make your franchise inviting.

I will say that I am on board to trade K-mart. He is not playing with the same drive anymore, so a change for both parties would be fair.

It would be stupid to let Dragic walk and get nothing. The smart move is to trade Lowry for good value and resign Dragic. It would be great if we could keep them both, but they are to good to play the same position on the same team.

I understand this view from a basektball standpoint, but I'm looking at it from a management-player-potential player perspective.

The Rockets, over the last few years, have not been the best with relationships with players.

I was with them with the way they treated Tracy because it was warranted.

Some of the other stuff isn't.

The last straw may be Chandler Parsons. If you get rid of him, you're not committed to any of your current players that you want to build with.

Bingo. Be professional and don't call out your coach and then you get to stay in town. It's that simple.
