Scola and Landry both played great. And with Luther available, that meant we could slide Bonzi to the four when we want to play small. Chuck's minutes get squeezed out as a result.

I think he'll still get time against certain defensive matchups and in key defensive possessions, like the last couple games.

Scola no, but I'll do it for landry or Brooks. We are playing well against
bad teams now, but chances we won't be able to make it pass the first
    round with this current team.

Artest will make the Rockets as one of the contender instead of just
another pretender. Please make it happen!

No I completely understand - I would worry first about Artest bolting, second about our PG situation. I wouldn't want to give up Shane just in case Ron walks. People need to realize that if we don't trade for him, we have as much a shot of signing Artest in the offseason as we had at signing Rashard Lewis this past offseason - essentially none. But one interesting thing is we'd get his bird rights (I think), so we'd be able to offer a deal way past our MLE. Would we be paying major luxury tax? Sure - but one thing about Les, he loves the spotlight. He loves the big moves, the big names - I can see him doing this. If we re-signed Artest, we'd probably package Shane in the offseason for some help in other areas. I can see the Rockets looking for PG help if AB is dealt though - I don't think anybody would truly feel secure with James being the only other option to Rafer.

it's tough, landry is more expendable then brooks though in my opinion. man we really need a back-up pg. if we had that we'd be fine getting artest even for half a season.

Artest is one of the few players who you don't worry about giving an extension too since he gives 100% every night. He's can be an idiot at times but he's got more heart and ability than any player on the Rockets right now.

You could play big. Offensively, McGrady at the point, Artest at the 2, Battier at the 3, Scola and Yao. Then defensively, let Shane guard the tough points, Artest guard the Kobe's, and let McGrady slack off on whoever. Shane already plays point guards defensively now when we are trying to shut them down.

Utah- You match up Artest on Boozer, Battier on DWill, McGrady on AK-47, Bonzi on Brewer/Korver, and then Yao/Scola on Okur. Now, offensively, Utah is sucking wind. DWill or AK-47 trying to track McGrady, Yao's got a mismatch in the post, they'll have to move Boozer over on him, foul trouble for Boozer, then you've got Korver/Brewer/DWill, at least one of them left guarding somebody they can't stop, mismatch.

Lakers?? Fish, Kobe, Lamar, Pao, Bynum vs. McGrady, Artest, Battier, Scola, Yao............who has Lakers got to come off the bench to deal widdit? Especially if we are sitting over there with Landry and Bonzi.

PHX-Nash, Bell, Hill, Amare, Shaq? I'll take us in halfcourt playoff set with Artest.

    Dallas???? ----Ummm, no problem.

How are other teams going to match up with us if we go with that huge lineup, especially in a playoff halfcourt chess match???

i'd venture to say that there is a zero percent chance artest becomes a rocket, so all this banter is moot anyways.

I respectfully disagree. There is no way TMac can play point. He simply doesn't dribble well enough.

Trading for Artest could either make or break us. On one hand he brings a toughness that is above anyone else in the league, and his temper is getting more under control it seems like. If the package for him were kirk snyder, mike james, and aaron brooks I think it would be a good trade for us to take. Brooks has a lot of potential, but who knows if he can take it to the next level which would be a starter. as everyone has said, the problem would be keeping Artest in Houston this summer, and that would take some considerable cash! obviously the trade would be contingent on an agreement from RonRon that he would re-sign with us. if that's a problem, don't give up brooks.
I really like Artest, and if he came here I think we would have the best starting 5 in the league.

wtf get artest u crazy, come on we have a good chemistry right now, even thought i kno artest is a good and strong player but still, we cant risk disruptin our team chemistry, thats why the spurs never made a trade on duncan or parker. besides AB is has a better future than artest, hes gonna opt out anyways unless we give him a ring to wear in june.

    Yeah????

You must be new. He's been playing the offensive point for about 4 years now.

its probably something like battier, brooks, snyder, james for artest

id say to do it. artest and bonzi get reunited and elevate each others games.

Do it. I do not see much potential from a shooting first udersized PG.

We do need more help at the 1,but I wouldn't give either Landry or Scola for anyone right now. The 4's are giving us strength.
I don't want to give up Brooks but if we can get Artest with the little guy as the main particular we just have to do it. I would like to get Delonte West if we end up losing Brooks,
