Artest would bring us up for sure, but is it worth it...smells of a rent a player type of scenario if he doesn't sign an extension...Brooks has a lot of potential, but we've all seen that before...

Chris Paul and AI are meant to have real heights of 5-10/11. I'd like the rockets to keep Brooks his speed and ability to block/contest shots could be handy on the defensive end if the Rockets face the Hornets in the playoffs.

Guys - we don't have to go for the ring this season. Let's jsut win a playoff series. Don't trade away good players for ? marks.

Let's get Artest for free in the summer and make us BETTER each year, we can make trades after the season. Especially when we can pick the guy up in a few months without giving up brooks.

    If it's Battier+Bonzi+Brooks, then NO!

    If it's James+Snyder+Brooks, then YES!

We can't afford him. All we've got is the MLE.

Make the deal, Artest is great defender and can give yout hat third scoring option. Basically a bigger Shane with offensive skills. The problem with waiting for "Next year" is Tracy isn't getting any younger and we may not have enough $ to sign Ron in the offseason. It's worth the risk.

    I will say this....

Ron Artest plays in Houston at the Fonde center downtown, in their summer league for the past 2-3 years, so he does make Houston his home for at least a short period during the summer. Look it up, research it, I seen it with my own eyes!!!

No way in Hell would I give him that kind of cash with some sort of contract stipulations regarding his personal conduct.

If the Rockets get Artest, the most important thing is to keep Battier and Hayes in any deal.

Hayes, Battier, Artest will just be nothing but pure punishment for the opposing team.
