Sorry didnt explain how we lost depth. Jackson takes Brooks minutes. No more swingman behind tmac and battier.

I guess tonight's hornets game was the deciding factor for this trade. Jackson has a decent game, and now he's a Rocket

Bobby Jackson and Snyder for either Mike Miller or Artest. Please Memphis or Sactown.

I don't think you can trade a player that you just traded for.

Well the trade hasn't been approved yet so it can still end up like a 3 way where we get Bobby then immediately ship him to Memphis or Sactown.

    See: Rasheed Wallace, Atlanta Hawks.

You CAN trade a player you just traded for, but I don't think it can be in combination with any other salaries.

I think there's 48 hour period where you can re-package a traded player.

Doubtful. Our need for a backup PG Adelman can trust was very apparent. The idea of heading to the playoffs with Brooks as our immediate backup and Mike James in the doghouse wasn't good enough. In that sense, I like the plan of action that addressed a specific need. I hate the trade itself, but I think Bobby Jackson was handpicked for this reason.

I knew there was SOMETHING about the first 48 hours after a trade, but I thought it was that, under the old CBA, that was the only time before the off-season that a team could re-trade a player it just traded for.

I think you might be right, though.

According to Feigen's blog this morning....don't get your hopes up on any "big" moves today

(I have heard they are still working today, but that if there is any kind of deal, it would be minor. That might mean Kirk Snyder. Last night, the Wells deal went from tabled, to talking to done throughout the evening, so I think any work on Snyder got pushed back. -- Jonathan

In the last hour do you still think that there is any chance for Artest? Now that we have our back up Point Guard we are able to trade AB :p

All I got to say is that next season, when we get Francis back I hope it's at full strength so he can wave his jockstrap in Bobby Jackson's face.

Wheni heard about the trade, that is exactly what i thought. By moving Bonzi we clear the log jam at 2/3 and in return we get a back up PG making AB expandable!

Expandable? Does that mean he can grow in height. That would be awesome !
