The New Orleans trade for Bobby Jackson would give the Rockets a backup PG that provides a scoring punch off the bench. Not only that, he's played in Adelman's system and thrived before.

But I see your point. I just tried typing a depth chart assuming the trades go through...it's ugly. Barely any depth...especially at point.

 

Gah, this sucks. So instead of going for Artest or Miller, the Rocket's master plan is to trade Bonzi Wells and MJ for Bobby Jackson (WTF???) woopdidooh...

The safest thing to do at this point is to skip out on any trades. There's no guarantee that whoever comes in won't screw up the team's chemistry, or take too long to figure out the system and plug in.

There's no urgent need for a trade, given the Rockets play as of late.

 

That's why its so tough to be a rockets fan!

If Artest only stays half a year, who's going to be your best defender after Artest leaves?

You don't give up Battier in an Artest deal. Unless you have an ironclad guarantee of a multi-year contract in place for after the season with Artest, and seeing as how that sort of thing would put us in tax hell for quite a while, I don't see it happening.

MUCH rather get Mike Miller.

I will be seriously pissed off at the Rockets if they pull that trigger. Seriously pissed off at that deal.

 

Someone refresh my memory: did we buy out Sura's contract? If not, can't we use it for a trade? That would help out tremendously if we were trying to trade for Artest or Miller

 

Rockets fans are too loyal and do not understand talents. Brooks ....c'mon man he's garbage compare to Artest....you have got to be kidding me ok?? This is the same thing about my suggestion of trading Tmac for Kobe back when Jerry West suggest he's willing to listen to team and what did Morey do?? He went on public and said....no Tmac is a keeper and will not trade him. And now you're craving for Kobe for Tmac aren't you??

Anyway, back to the Artest deal....if i am Morey, i would do this deal in no time. I mean Bobby, Tmac, Shane, Artest and Yao in the lineup...wow!! Defense and offense is unbelievable. At least now we can contend for the Championship.

Serious people need to wake up and if you think the Rockets have enough tough players to stare down the West, you're wrong. It's time to get some real talents when the opportunity is there. Morey has failed me when i bring up the Kobe and Tmac and i hope he listen this time. If Kings really want Brooks...omg, i am licking my chopsticks right now....this is unbelievable.

 

Head , Brooks, 1st rounder, I think they might have to add Shane instead of Head cus of salaries, either way it better be done

 

Well, this might work with Bobby Jackson as a backup PG. We could ship Brooks out to Sacremento for Artests services for all of 1/2 the remaining season before he declares free agency.

Rocket fans were looking for more depth. Instead, the Rockets lose depth. The rest of the west gets deeper, Rockets get a little weaker. Le$ strikes again.
