Are you kidding, not even close Brad of course.

He may even start for us.

But doubt we will want to take on his contract.

The rockets need K. Thomas more than Artest or M.Miller! I couldn't believe that the spurs get him!

How can the rockets beat the spurs ?

Rick bucher just said that SA, Denver, and Houston wants Artest. But then he said he don't know if SA still want him becasue they just got Kurt Thomas. Denver would already have him, but they don't wont to give up Linas Kleiza and thats the only way Kings will give them Artest. So I really think that we have a great chance of getting him. We can only hope for the best.

spurs got thomas?? *******, now duncan doesn't have to guard yao at all late in games b/c kurt does a fairly good job against yao.

why the hell is the west so damn competitive this yr? we would be a finals lock any other year.

The rationale for Denver has to be Kleiza is a shooter for them and they dont have many. Also a Artest, Melo, AI combo is a locker room brawl waiting to happen. :D

I am glad Denver is over-valuing Kleiza.

I know everyone in the west is stepping their game up aftet the Lakers made their move. This may turn out to be one of the best playoffs in a long time. In the west anyway.

I wouldn't give up Kleiza if I were them also. But Brooks is simply a notch below Kleiza. Not sure why posters here want to keep him.

Their remaining expiring contracts are Finley, Horry, and Vaughn. Those 3 for Artest reduces another several 100k from the Spurs payroll.

Whether or not they want to or can give up another first round pick is another question.

Kleiza and Brooks are two different type of players. Kleiza is producing, but Brooks is a rook and shows potential. I would do a Kleiza for Artest deal in a heartbeat.

Kings dont just want expirings. Artest is expiring.
Spurs 28th pick wouldnt intertest the Kinds a bit.

But see heres the thing with Denver they're not going any where in the playoffs if they make it because of their lack of D. So you have to do something with that team. If I was the GM I'll make the deal in a heartbeat.

Kleiza is doing 12ppg at 47% in 25min. I wouldn't trade a guy like this for a half year rental.

Brooks is more valuable than Kleiza on potential and the fact he's locked into a rookie contract. Kleiza is also a expiring contract. Nuggets would most likely have to also part with a 1st round pick.

If Geoff Petrie thinks Brooks was worthy consideration for the 10th lottery pick. IMO Rockets can beat out Nuggets on any offer and even throw in James.

Kleiza and Brooks were born only 11 days apart.......

If you are speaking about potential, the ceiling of Kleiza is much higher.

He is playing out of his mind. Well, maybe he finally found a niche in Denver, and I agree he compliments that team well. But a year ago, he was offered to us for Howard. Juwan Howad level players dont become stars in half a season.

Artest is a star. Well, borderline.
