If that were the case they wouldn't have signed Damon Stoudamire who put them 60k over luxury tax.

The speculated deal is Elson + Barry + pick for Artest. That would get the Spurs under luxury tax safely around 680k.

He's an investment banker who has securitized the stream of revenue from consumers purchasing shirts that they are going to "pop" the collars on.

The latest on Artest from hoopsworld 3 teams are fighting it out Nuggets, Spurs and the Rockets but still no favorite. So it is anybodys game.

IMO Battier+Brooks+Money is the best offer for Sac so far.

Kleza is playing out of his mind right now. Raw ability wise, he is not even close to a talent IMO. We almost got him for Juwan freaking Howard.

Man, I would be really really happy if Pat Riley entered the fray right about now and took Artest away from the Western Conference.

lol, youse guys are funny. David Aldridge got your panties all bunched up ;)

if we've got Yao, TMac, Battier, Scola. if we don't have to mortgage all of Landry, Brooks (either is acceptable in a trade, just not both fer less than a half season of Artest) ... seems good to me.

how much yah wanna trade Rocket future(s) against 2008 season success is largely about desperation.

i hate desperation ... soo unattractive.

Where did you get Battier's name from? Is there a source suggesting this?

By throwing in Haslem+JWill and picks in the mix for a three way trade involving the best bidder among the three. :D

Kings want expiring contracts + young talent/pick.

They don't want Battier and the rockets won't give him up.

Please check your source before you post something as if it was news. It was pretty evident this wasn't real because what would have been last-minute about it, but anyway.

I think he should, not sure he would. He's coached all of them, so I trust him.

On King's end, I dont see they only want expirings since Artest is leaving them anyways. They want to trade him for some talents in return, which was mentioned earlier by Dever media IIRC. They want Brooks, as Aldridge reported. The only asset they would want IMO is Battier.

It's all just rumors now. But some sites say we're trying to get Kurt Thomas as an expiring deal. So if we get him, then we probably trade him and Brooks to Sac for Artest (if salaries work out). This gives Sac the salary cap space AND the young talent. It's better for them than getting SA's expiring contracts and a late first round pick. It looks like Artest may come down to our ability to get Kurt Thomas. But what about Denver...
