    1.5 PPS is not IFFY!

And to the other poster tht wants to emphasize Artest's ability to drive to the bucket, Miller can drive to the hole when they overplay him also. Miller is in a diffferent class than Artest offensively just as Artest is in a different class than Miller defensively.

The thing about Miller is.....he's got a quick release and he can jack off the dribble, or spot up, or coming off the screen......and he's hot....all the time. The defender has got to get up on him. He's in a whole different class shooting the basketball than Shane, Artest, or anyone we got on this squad.......including Novak.....cuz this boy has size, can get it off over people and he can get it off in a variety of different sets, by himself, or off the quick pass, or curling off the screen, against bigger defenders and definitely against smaller defenders. He has to be accounted for or he just murders the opponent.

I like both guys. But we already got the second best defense. We get Miller and we got a top 10 offense in my opinion, and maybe a top 5 offense. And if all we are throwing away is expirings and Luther Head, well we ain't giving up a whole lot, especially of we've got a wink-wink to bring back Bonzi in 30 days after he agrees to a buyout from Memphis.

The one thing I will say. If we trade for Miller, I do not want to give up Chuch Hayes' defense and rebounding but I would give up Novak's stroke. If we trade for Artest, I'm fine with giving up Hayes' defense and rebounding since Artest will more than cover those areas but I will not give up Novak's stroke.

And Brooks, Landry, Scola are all untouchable in my mind, in either deal.

Head, expiriings, James, picks...............let both teams pick their deal from that pile, that's it.

I will get drunk and lock myself in a room if that happens... What turned out to be a wonderful morning has turned into a nightmare..

    Worst case scenario:

Artest goes to Spurs and we sign Mike Miller.

I can't even see us beating them in a 7 game series. Just utter hope is what we would need to defeat them.

Right....this from the guy who thinks the Nets are going to send Vince Carter here for players that can barely crack the Rocket's rotation.

As much as I dilsike $Ball for basketball, at least I understand enough of it to have a formed an opinion. You on the other hand....

Both have been NBA starters within the past two seasons. Davis technically still is. Both are 100% healthy. Williams is an expiring $8.9m. Davis is an expiring $6.8m. There isn't a trio of expiring Rockets that even comes close to Davis. A pick from the Heat is worth a lot more than a pick from the Rockets.

    School is out.

Kings annouce last-minute trade with Spurs

    Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 5:20 pm EST
Word has leaked of a huge trade between the Sacramento Kings and the San Antonio Spurs. Talks between the Kings and Nuggets apparently broke down this morning. The Spurs will receive small forward Ron Artest, while the Kings will gain Brent Barry, one other undisclosed expiring contract, and San Antonio's 1st Round picks for 2008 and 2010.

    *sigh*

if we do not land miller, my hopes for this season will officially be down the ****ing drain.

jesus if this deal is true.... wow. SA just pulled out an absolute STEAL. this deal pretty much forces our hand, imo. unless we simply think this is not our year, go to war with what we have and load up for next year.
