Rafer is the leader of the team, the X factor in chemistry, in team defense... Lowry is NOTHING. No way this trade can happen if we don't get Baron Davis.

Way to round up for Lowry, down for Rafer, and neglect the assist/to ratio.

    Fantastic good sir.

Real mature. The Rockets are doomed. They traded a guy putting up 11 ppg and 5 apg over 33 minutes and making 5 million per year for a guy putting up 8 ppg, 4 apg making about a million and a half per year. Wow, what a devastating move.

I feel good about this trade. since after this trade, the club would be able to resign artest in the summer. and trace tslack to clippers for baron, and we will have our new big three. Wut a move. Nicely done!

Lowry has a 4 to 2 assist/to ratio, Rafer has a 5 to 2. Both pretty good. You guys are getting caught up in Rafer like the Rockets just traded away an important building block. Rafer was a solid player, and I like him. But is the season over because the Rockets traded him? I doubt it. I

I'm assuming you also thought Brooks was NOTHING.

Mutombo, Battier, and Barry can't replace the leadership Alston provided. Only Battier plays the minutes that Alston did. And, Alston was the pg. He organized and directed the offense and was good at it. Remember last year when we couldn't win without him? Everyone who thought Alston was a scrub is full of it. He was vital to our success. Brooks has to grow up in a hurry.

Yea, they'll be ok. I like Lowry's ability to finish in the paint and his defense is off the charts. His 3pt shooting is questionable, but could be better than what most people think.

No. I don't think it's even within the 15% range.

the Rockets sure do love making trades with Memphis. I mean seriously, have worked and traded more with any other team since SF3?

I wish we DIDN'T get Cook. That guy sucks and doesn't belong in the nba.

Here's another article that says we are getting a couple other players ... lol ... AND losing a pick

    <a href="http://www.myeyewitnessnews.com/news/local/story/Grizzlies-Trade-Lowry/7jvkO4gakUWD8W3vR8ZAfA.cspx">Grizzlies Trade Lowry</a>
    Reported by: Jamie Griffin
    ABC 24 Eyewitness News
    Last Update: 3:17 pm

MEMPHIS, TN -- According to an ESPN report, the Grizzlies will trade third-year backup point-guard Kyle Lowry to Houston as part of a three-team deal also involving the Magic.

The Grizzlies will receive a future first round pick from Houston.

The Rockets will get Lowry, Orlando forward Brian Cook and two other players to be named.

Orlando lands Houston's guard Rafer Alston.

Lowry has averaged 7.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 49 games with the Grizzlies this season.

(Amazing how news agencies can just throw up anything these days. I guess if they can quickly change the copy online, they can act like they never wrote it.)

cook wont play. he's an ending contract, so the rockets save some money there.

we'll see who starts at PG. good move to get younger, and save some money. without tmac i guess the rockets felt like they weren't competing for a championship this year, so prepare for the future. i like it.

No way. Every other article has said the pick is from Orlando. It has to be... no way they only give up Cook to get Rafer.

This trade is looking worse and worse.....wish we wouldn't have traded any1. We finally looked like a team coming together, especially with Tracy being out and now we're looking at the 9th spot / another first round exit. Way to say F U from Leslie, Morey and whoever else was involved to the city of Houston and worldwide fans.....
