Ibaka and Harden were on the table, but the problem is OKC could not be assured of an extension by Howard. A smart or not so desperate team do not feel the crunch for getting Howard. No player is worth losing quality talent over for a mere rental, unless you have an aging championship contender.

That's about one of the best deals they could get if they lose Ibaka or Harden. If OKC had assurance from Dwight, they could almost stick Westbrook in there for Harden and sign a point guard in the offseason.

As strange as it sounds, OKC would be one of the ideal places for Howard.

He makes a good point. Dwight gives you all the defense that Ibaka does, of not more plus a better rebounder and twice the points.

Exactly, which is why Harden will extend this summer and Presti will deal with Ibaka next summer. He will give this team one more try as is.
