If Eric Snow is such a swell point guard, how come the Philly offense is essentially standing around and watching Iverson do all the work? You'd think if they had such a nifty point guard they wouldn't need to simplify the offense so. Ray Allen's pretty swell though - but his recent injury history is disconcerting, this will be the third year in a row he's missed substantial time.
He just said that about Sonic's management. He said he is happy in Seattle, he bought a house, and he is comfortable living there. We do need to sign B. Barry though, he's exactly what everyone on this board is describing.
Eric Snow is garbage. He sucks. He is old, slow and can't shoot. If the Rockets were dumb enough to bring in Snow then other teams would leave him open all night and he would kill the Rockets like M jackson does when he is in the game.
Seattle did admit they were entertaining offers for him. I think they are in re-build mode and figure they can get some building blocks for him.
Last year he missed 6 games, the year before that 13 games, and the year before that 0 games. This will be the first year that he has missed more than 13 games EVER.
I second Brent Barry. Those Barry boys can play ball. He can shoot and drop dimes, and he has one thing Stevie has none of....basketball IQ.
I wonder about the people in love with Eric Snow. The way to beat the Rockets right now is to play zone. The way to beat zone is to have a bunch of guys who can knock down 3's. Give the z one one guy to cheat off of, and you really hurt the offense. Snow can't hit the 3. So Snow doesn't fit with Yao. Pretty simple, really. Think about the Hakeem-era. Perhaps the most important thing for the 1, 2, and 3 positions was the ability to hit the 3. When you've got that dominant guy in the middle, the only things you must have from the backcourt is (1) the ability to put the ball in the post and (2) the ability to hit the 3. With Snow, you'd be totally screwed on (2).
Van Gundy should realized that Francis and Yao combo has to be repeat for next year and then If Rockets does'nt go all the way to the playoff, then something has to be done!
Rox should go after Rasheed Wallace in the offseason. He's a player that can complement Yao's game because he can go all the way outside and nail those 3 and also very effective posting up. If they double on Yao...then Sheed can shoot anywhere from 15 footer to 3. And if they double Sheed, Yao can shoot the 15 footer or move to the basket and try to get offensive rebound. I think Sheed fit in great with the team.
