You're on the same boat as he is, if you're that distrusting. Gotta give her the benefit of the doubt to start things, otherwise you might as well not even try because you'll be doubting her forever. Some people happen to be close to their siblings, nothing odd about her cancelling to have dinner with her sister. I would actually expect it, rather than believing i'm more important to her, after having just met her. This guy potentially brought this upon himself by playing the waiting game and trying to be "the guy with things to do". She probably was looking forward to an earlier meeting and he dragged it out so much she started losing interest or started playing the game back. I also agree that texting too much, if you're serious about this, is lame. It's something that players do to juggle multiple women at once, so she may be losing interest AND picking up a player vibe.
Why make things more complicated? Take people at their word until they prove untrustworthy and see how things develop. It's just a date.
