Some basketball people are calling him the best player not in the NBA like Scola a few years ago. Mid first round (10-17) for now.

From nbadraft.net... He is under contract with Partizan until 2013, and unless an NBA team is willing to buy out his contract, he may be the right candidate to get drafted and then allowed to develop even more before he is brought over.

I actually heard that he's scouting this young kid named Spanoulis who is supposed to be the Greek T-mac.

Nice athleticism, bit of an attitude, and a 3pt shot at the PF position.

    Yes please.

Few hours Partizan eliminated Maccabi and are going to Final Four in Paris. So, watch closely Vesely - amazing kid!

Also Daryl was in Belgrade in Tuesday for the third game between Partizan and Maccabi and Vesely had a GREAT game! So if we draft him, no doubt that Rockets will buyout his contract, he's simply amazing.

He's 6'11", quick, good 3 point shooter, but average on D.European basketball is very physical so you can't know really how he will play D in NBA.

Wow. I try to take highlight vids with a grain of salt but that's a pretty amazing skill set in a 6'11'' package. Showed he can run/dunk/block/drive/shoot outside...

If he's really that good, is there actually any chance we can get him if we do end up with pick #13/14 or so?

I'm glad that this really dumb thread topic has turned into one of the best and most well-informed draft discussions on this board.

great stuff on these euro guys.

He is hard at work to add pieces to the team that will insure a top two finish in the regular season in the Western conference next year.

Yes. Even in the NHL, where drafting Europeans is MUCH more common, they still have their fair share of player issues and scouting problems. It's a craps shoot.

Vesely looks like a twig. He'd need to do some serious bulking up to transition to the NBA.

What if he's thinking of bringing Llull over earlier than expected?
