Morey was a guy that learned the salary cap in ONE WEEKEND! He's definitely a smart guy. Morey kept the core intact and basically used Vspan and a 2nd rounder to get the best power forward in Europe, convinced our former 3 time allstar Francis to return for half the MLE, convinced Bonzi to stay, slected what may have been the steal at point guard in the draft and the only rookie point guard to be on Team Select, got rid of Juwan Howard for Mike James and brought in Adelman who may have made it easier for Bonzi to come back and was influential in noticing Brooks, convinced Mt. Mutombo to come back for less money and resigned Chuck Hayes. If he brings in someone like Foster, I'd be just shocked. With the cards that Morey was dealt, I don't think anyone could have brought in any more talent than he did. He's aggressive, but not haphazard in his approach. Most of the assets he brought in were very economical and with a high reward if it pans out but low risk in that we can get rid of them if it doesn't work out.
morey deserves a cookie!!! Im planning to write a book on morey called "tuesdays with morey" <<< sounds familiar eh?
I think the biggest stat guru here is Les. He is the one who found morey who has great asset but under valued. Again, Celtics are the loser again. What morey have left to do as Gm is to focus on shaping up the roster from abandant of players we got. Then, the rest would be alderman and the players' job. so far morey has exceeded expectation from any first (second) yr GM.
