I was assuming as much, but it's been officially reported now. Given that we have a thread for the Greek kid, might as well have one for this German attack guard.

Morey was watching Schröder play, sitting next to former German national team player and UNC grad Ademola Okulaja, who's Schröders adviser.

The better German point guards have always played really smart, played really hard, and played very fundamental and team basketball.

If he has been developed that same way, and has great physical tools, then he would definitely be a very good player.

"Three ball and layup. No in between game"

LOL. Sounds like a perfect match for us.

Dude is a 58% 3 pt shooter, with 33% FG. I'd ban him to shoot midrange too.

Owner Alexander may have something to say about that.

And this kid seems not ready for prime time. The other guy? If he's as described he won't last til the Phx pick.

To be fair, European teams -- especially the good ones -- take very few mid-range shots in general. The lack of an in-between game worries me even less with European players than it does with college players.

The shooting percentages are a bit outdated, obviously. Schröder's currently at 45.0% FG and 43.5% 3P%, taking a little over 3 threes a game.

    Another short highlight video:

Highlights are all I've seen, but he sure seems like an intriguing prospect. If he were to declare for the draft, I think the Rockets would take a hard look at him somewhere in the second round.

Yeah his shot(especially the way he spots up and releases) looks similar to the Franchise.

Looks a lil Black to be German also...

An athletic Black Euro player. This kid gotta be good...He'll match the Black guy with the beard we already have and it will give us our quota of black players we need on the team to compete for a championship. Something that Minnesota better figure out quick fast and in a hurry.

I have no problem with whatever point guard Morey picks up because he's been good in that department.

I hate to break it to you, but they have black people in Germany. Believe it or not - yes they have black people in Germany.

I definitely think Rockets will be trying harder for international guys. if you don't bring them over right away, they are cap less , roster spot less talent. Morey loves flexibility for trades.
