Looks like we're going after Brent Barry if/when he is released by the Sonics.

The nervous laugh was because he could've been fined for tampering.

    sounds good
IT does sound like it gives us heaps of flexiblity next season. At the end of the day, getting a championship this year was a longshot. We can make a positive move next season in terms of trades.

    Morey is such a genius!

He pulled the trigger on the Jackson trade so close to the deadline that other teams had not time to react. I can see it now. All of the Western Conference GMs are in a panic trying to figure out how they will combat our new lineup fresh with a 35 year old, broken down, shoot first PG and a 21 year old space cadet who won't crack the rotation and probably won't be in the league by the time he is 25.

    SPLASH!!!

    Thanks for the recap DD.

I think these were very solid moves by Morey once again.

Glad we got rid of James, Bonzi wouldn't have played much anymore and would have potentially been trouble on the team; also, we weren't going to pay him next year. Bonzi's play has been very inconsistent and I would much rather see the bulk of these minutes going to Scola, Landry, Novak, Head.

I don't think Green is going to play much, but Snyder wasn't going to play either...and perhaps, if Green shows some promise, we can sign him really cheap to a long-term contract this offseason, and who knows, that might be a bargain. If, after a good look during the rest of the season, they determine that he sucks and will suck, then we just don't re-sign him.

We got rid of the three players I liked the least on the team, so I'm happy.

Hang up your pipedream for Barry. He is going back to Spurs.

Fans are not stupid, quit spinning, Mr. Morey. At the end of day, the truth is Les asked you to dump some salary for him, and you just did that.

Spurs are only around 400k under luxury tax. The vet's min is 1.2M, so maybe prorated he'll cost 600k now.

Yeah, every trade has it's pros and cons especially on a team just struggling to make it to the playoffs. DM is trying to make it sound like it's going to be no big deal at all in the absence of Bonzi. It's all spin junk.

Lets see them actually play a game first before making ridiculous posts like this.

Ummm, the Spurs can't sign him for 30 days. By the time they would be able to sign him he wouldn't be eligible for the playoff roster.

Even if the Spurs have to go over the luxury tax to get Barry they will do it if they feel it's necessary to win.
If what RocksMillenium says is correct,we can't use him anyway either.

The same Spurs that gave Rockets Scola to dump Jackie Butler's salary?
