To see the Morey interview, it is on the Sportsradio610 website. Not really a conference as it looks like they caught him in a hallway.
Buy a pick? How about a gift? If you want the #13 pick in the draft you can have it, but... you must also take Jamaal Tinsley (2 years, >7 million per) By the CBA, you must give the Pacers back matching salary too, unfortunately for the Pacers.
DING DING DING!!! Morey knows what he's doing. Relax people. All this tension has its purpose. He's looking steps and steps ahead of most (if not all) other GMs. He's gonna land something big, and he knows exactly how its all going to fall into place.
Lol @ you guys whining about this. What did you expect him to say? I did not expect any ground breaking news. When is the last time someone held a Press Conference and announced something big before it was already announced on ESPN or Sports Radio. Man up
Seen the video (thanks for posting the link!) and i agree on two things it looks and sounds like he had a deal fall through and that he's trying to build value for Tracy (kinda!)
Exactly. The deal fell through because of Morey. Hes stated he doesnt want to move T-Mac....yet. But of course, he's just saying that because saying you aren't trading him, somehow helps him get moved.
There better be a nice big deal ready to go through. I dont like watching the Spurs and all these other teams having a real good time. such as: Rockets trade: Tracy Mcgrady Shane Battier Luis Scola Aaron Brooks Suns trade: Amare Stoudemire Jason Richardson Leandro Barbosa Sign Gortat Starters: PF - Stoudemire SF - Artest C - Yao SG - Richardson PG - Lowry Bench: PG - Barbosa SG/SF - J. White PF - Landry C - Gortat GET IT DONE MOREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A starting lineup of Richardson, Artest and Amare? Wow... Might as well just start Gortat, because Yao would never touch the ball.
Agreed. Teams WANT McGrady and the more value they think he has to the Rockets the more they will give up. It's only June 24. There is plenty of time before training camp to move him and get some talent in return. He's a great GM so don't believe 90% of what he says about a specific player's trade status in the media.
The Suns starting 5 last season was superior to that starting 5 and they missed the playoffs. Of course, Richardson wasn't with them from day one and they had coaching issues. Still, any advantages Artest has over Hill is outweighed by Nash over Lowry. Shaq and Yao roughly cancel each other out. They had Barbosa off the bench and serviceable bigs like Lopez and Amundson. I'm not saying I wouldn't do that deal but our new rotation would become almost 50% former Suns without their engine and driving force.
