Lol. Everyone here was hoping and preying Twill would play. Lets not start this. Everyone here was convinced that Twill just wanted a change of scenary. Lets not start this. Flynn was just part of a deal. You do remember that we also got D-Mo in that deal? Yeah not such a bad deal. Thabeet...okay I'll give you that one. Hill has been a solid yet frustratingly inconsistent player.
Look at it like this guys, we can afford to pay him as much as anybody in the league can this summer, which is a whole lot more than the Knicks can afford to pay him. Lin - 4 years/$40 million Trade Lowry and Scola for Gasol. Go to the lottery. Draft Davis or Sullinger.
Hey guys. A Jeremy highlight show is coming at halftime on this next NBA game. Enjoy your Morey is great at his job rebuttals.
lol. you can guarantee morey that lin would put up 30 and 10 for the rest of his career and he wouldn't give him that contract. his ego is too big. he's in "hope lin sucks so i can be right"-mode for the rest of lin's career.
He is restricted though, the Knicks can match, IIRC. If they claimed him off waivers, then the Knicks control his rights. DD
Shut up MAGIC JOHNSON! We know Lin will be good BECAUSE MASTER TALENT EVALUATOR MOREY HAD HIM AND WAS SO DEEP AT BOTH PG POSITONS HE COULD JUST HIM!
Look, Morey blew this one in hindsight. But that doesn't make him a bad GM. No GM has a perfect record. Every GM blows it, some more than others, some A LOT more than others. I'd say Morey blows it a lot LESS than the average GM. The only thing that is still a monkey on Morey's back is his inability to sign a big time FA. But that might not be all his fault.
I might be in the minority jopatmc, but I'm not really sold on Sullinger. I've watched him quite a bit, he seems to really struggle against anyone with size. I'm not saying Sullinger will be a bust, but the last thing I believe the Rockets need is another undersized power forward/center. Davis on the other hand...
Maybe you should answer the question? There's still different opportunities to acquire him. -During draft -after draft -trade with GS -after GS -trade with hou -after hou -trade with NY During this time no one thought a lot about Lin, no one. Otherwise, if someone though he was going to be a capable starter they would have offered a pick for him. A perceived third stringer for a late first rounder? Who turns that down? Hell, if they thought he'd be a 20 and 8 guy, then they'd give up even a late loterry pick. Point is, no one seemed to see that potential in him and they surely didnt see it coming this soon, if he did have it. And your posts never seem to have a point because your face is shoved up your a**. Batum, really? We never even drafted him for Houston. Houston traded the pick and was told who to draft. Come out to breath every once in a while and you won't miss what is going on like the fact that we do have an edit function:
So the Knicks were planning to cut Lin before his breakout performance, and that was with having awful PG play. They were actually looking sign Mike James as a replacement. But surely they must have seen how great he was in practice! How could that be?!
