Said upside was good enough to take a chance. Also said as the team gets better, character comes into question even more. Said Philly is in the same situation Houston was in. He said when you're in a situation like that, you have to gamble more on potential like they did with White.
-Says Les Alexander spent $7M to upgrade the locker room and added "wiener walls" to the team shower. There were guys who wouldn't shower under prior conditions. -Says they are signing guys knowing that they likely has to eat some money and Les was fine with it.
I missed whatever Morey said up to the point where he said barring injuries, not securing home-court and making it to the second round would be a disappointment. Morey defended his Harden tweet, clarifying that he was only referring to SGs. Said Vince Carter is under-appreciated. Still very good right now. Would put T-Mac & VC in the HOF. Talked about Royce White and how it was important to acquire high upside talent. Obviously didn't work out. Said it sorta got lost that Hinkie got the better end of the deal by trading for Furkan. Plans to go "all Greg Popovich" now. Wants guys who can contribute and have high character. Sorta hinted that this current roster probably won't be the same in March/April by saying there's still lots of time to improve and that the roster in September doesn't really matter. Not a fan at all of locker room vets, who can't play anymore. Thinks players don't respect guys who don't at least threaten to take young player's minutes. + what CH & others have said.
Morey said that they should know more about what the roster needs in December or January and, as HMMMHMM posted above, says they are aiming to have the best roster in mid-April. Makes sense-- the team should see what it has and also more trade opportunities pop up once the season starts and once the newly signed free agents become available for trades on December 15.

Lin was self conscious about showering with Hard-on and How-Hard so he made them build a damn Wiener wall!
