    Can someone tell me why....

We allow mcgrady to keep playing when he is hobbling around the court? Really what is the reason for him to be running like he just twisted his ankle?

I understand he had surgery but still limping?

turiaf sucks, he's an energy scrub player, dime a dozen. Scola > Turiaf by a mile

And yet he's been kicking ass so far this season, pwnd the Mavs with the bigger Kidd, and was part of crew that brought us back from a double digit deficit last night. Yeah, Brooks is getting pwned on the D alright.

Hinrich is considered one of the better defensive PGs in the league. Rockets would find his perimeter defense and ability to guard 2s helpful right about now.

You honestly would take a player like Theo Ratliff over Carl Landry? Really?

Ratliff does nothing well except block shots. Tell me you're joking.

Durvasa- Even when we disagree, we have good conversation which is good. What I meant was not to lose Landry to get Landry, but to offer a fair deal you had in mind, then give him a date to accept it then move on. They couldve had Landry at the beginning of free agency and Ratliff as Yao's backup if they were progressive. They battled the agent in the media and lost out on quality backups.

V.3- Turiaf is a good combo guy. He's big enough to play the backup 5 and quick enough to play the 4. When he gets mins, he produces rebs, pts, and blks. You know as well as I do that nelson never has success with big men unless they can shoot the 3.

I don't consider Ratliff a quality backup. He's just as undersized as any of our PFs. He's not a good rebounder or post defender. All he does well is block shots. And he's 35 years old, on his way out of the league. I don't think Adelman would even have him in the rotation with this group.

And I'm not sure what fair deal the Rockets could have offered Landry at the beginning of the summer where he'd accept it early. My feeling is that the negotiations were going to go on all summer. That's just what agents do to milk as much money as possible out of the market.

He's playing his knee into form. He did say that it's getting better, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Is there a way on 610's website you can view podcasts that are not showing our the main page. I tried looking for Morey's interview and it looks like they moved it.

except for the insane amount of bandwagon supporters who had no clue about the issues. i was in houston for the opener and drove back to austin on thursday morning, i was listening to a show called whit and johnson or something like that? on 950...anyways they were asking people if they thought obama's pick of palin for vp was okay and people were like oh yah definetely and other questions that obama was not even remotely involved with...just proves how UNintelligent alot of obama supporters are/were...oh this is a rockets thread so ummm...where can i listen to this radio station online? or is that not even possible...and dont yall think we proved alot about our resiliance last night...bad calls/bad playing/bad shooting/etc. yet lost by 4? and had a chance in the end? 4 games in to the season we're showing alot

Well, morey dosent have a choice but to backup rafer. however i think even he knows by now that if we want to be what we are striving to be, rafer cannot be our starting PG.

Morey thinks Rafer shoots "good enough!" That's crazy; Rafer doesn't shoot good enough to stay on a city league team. He has only had three or four good shooting stretches in his entire career. The boy can't shoot consistently to save his life. He is horrible at shooting consistently, awful, pathetic, terrible, bad, worse, seriously not good.

There's no way in hell Morey believes that. He's too smart. But what can he say publicly? Rafer sucks and I know that he's this team's biggest liability? Privately, I'm sure he's worried as we all are are at another season of Rafer's bricks.

Agreed. Either Hinrich or even Ben Gordon would be a championship calibre improvement over Alston. Both are younger, both are more dynamic.

And I am all over the trade idea of Luther Head for Sean Williams. Williams can be a nutcase (currently sitting behind the rook Brooks & Boone) but his crazy long wingspan and hops makes him a rebounding/shot blocking freak of nature who can back up both the PF and C spot. Williams has much more upside than the 6'6 Chuckwagon (and I like Chuck :D ).
