Wow no scoring options for the center position. If he gets Gortat to sign the sheet (which I believe the Magic will sign because they traded away Battie) then we will have no low post scorers besides Scola. Dorsey and Gortat are more of a Rebounders and Hustle guys. Guys who get Rebounds and put backs.

I lol'd a bit at the fact that he's wearing McGrady's #1 jersey. Some foreshadowing???

Gortat is one who can help us, the team is high for him for a while, and his salary is in the range of MLE which we can only offer. Just hope that Magic is not going to match the offer, and then we should have a good chance to get him.

We can make Scola our #1 option, he might not be as good as Yao but he has shown he has legit post up ability.

Scola is far nowhere near a #1 option guy. He is a robin to someone's batman. Maybe not even that.

As the main guy, I think Scola is soon to become a 19 point and 9 rebound guy.

Of course Scola's 19 and 9 is not the same as Yao's 19 and 9, as Yao's mere presence clogs up the paint on defense. Also Yao comands a double team opening up shots for his teamates.

Gortat and Scola seem on paper to compliment each other. Gortat the rebounding and shot blocking center. And Scola would be your points at the front court.

From realgm.com. We likely have to compete with Knicks, Mav. and Pacers. Knicks have more money than us, that is not good.

"Marcin Gortat met with Daryl Morey just after midnight on Wednesday and the Knicks, Mavericks and Pacers are also interested in the big man's services.

"Powerball winner," was how one Eastern Conference executive described Gortat."

No to the Dalembert deal.........Sign Gortat Morey!!! Then we could do this:

Mcgrady -> New Orleans for Chandler and Peja

I only want Stoudamire if Brooks isn't in the deal

LOLOL wow you must be new to the game. Rule#1 is never trade within the division. That is an obvious no no.

Yeah he can agree but that doesn't really mean anything. He can pull a Carlos Boozer type of move. Agree to one thing but then sign elsewhere. So we really would have to wait til the 8th until he actually signs.

you must be new too because if you look at the most frequent trade partners the rockets have had in the past 5 years they have been:

    The New Orleans Hornets
    The Memphis Grizzlies

and there was that one deal with the Spurs ;)

Mcgrady is not coming back this season, so it wouldn't be a bad deal for the Rockets
