Wow no scoring options for the center position. If he gets Gortat to sign the sheet (which I believe the Magic will sign because they traded away Battie) then we will have no low post scorers besides Scola. Dorsey and Gortat are more of a Rebounders and Hustle guys. Guys who get Rebounds and put backs.
Maybe he signs with the rockets, gets an Anta deal and won't have to worry about telling Reebok that he's not getting rid of his Jordan Jumpman tattoo http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/06/09/reebok-to-marcin-gortat-jordan-tattoo-wont-fly/#cont
Gortat is one who can help us, the team is high for him for a while, and his salary is in the range of MLE which we can only offer. Just hope that Magic is not going to match the offer, and then we should have a good chance to get him.
Ever heard of the NCAA? He sure can finish at the rim tho. <object width="445" height="364"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rHjWxU3Lb4M&hl=en&fs=1&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rHjWxU3Lb4M&hl=en&fs=1&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>
We can make Scola our #1 option, he might not be as good as Yao but he has shown he has legit post up ability.
As the main guy, I think Scola is soon to become a 19 point and 9 rebound guy. Of course Scola's 19 and 9 is not the same as Yao's 19 and 9, as Yao's mere presence clogs up the paint on defense. Also Yao comands a double team opening up shots for his teamates. Gortat and Scola seem on paper to compliment each other. Gortat the rebounding and shot blocking center. And Scola would be your points at the front court.
From realgm.com. We likely have to compete with Knicks, Mav. and Pacers. Knicks have more money than us, that is not good. "Marcin Gortat met with Daryl Morey just after midnight on Wednesday and the Knicks, Mavericks and Pacers are also interested in the big man's services. "Powerball winner," was how one Eastern Conference executive described Gortat."
No to the Dalembert deal.........Sign Gortat Morey!!! Then we could do this: Mcgrady -> New Orleans for Chandler and Peja I only want Stoudamire if Brooks isn't in the deal
Marcin Gortat’s agent is telling teams he already has a full midlevel offer. League executives think it is likely from the Houston Rockets, who met with Gortat after midnight on Wednesday. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...aw-gordonvillanueva070109&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
LOLOL wow you must be new to the game. Rule#1 is never trade within the division. That is an obvious no no.
Yeah he can agree but that doesn't really mean anything. He can pull a Carlos Boozer type of move. Agree to one thing but then sign elsewhere. So we really would have to wait til the 8th until he actually signs.
you must be new too because if you look at the most frequent trade partners the rockets have had in the past 5 years they have been: The New Orleans Hornets The Memphis Grizzlies and there was that one deal with the Spurs
