He's the one who is considering leaving...what exactly did he expect, to be left alone this summer? He should be flattered that teams want him and are pursuing him.

Semi-subliminal advertising, I like it. Do you work for Coke or Pepsi?

If they sign with us, we will paint their jersey number on the space shuttle. Though the last shuttle launch may have already taken off.

I'll throw in suggestions if he fills in for me at my job. Otherwise, I charge $8.00/hour for recruiting NBA free agents for teams

Send the rowdies to Bosh's home and just have them circle it screaming like they do pregame at the Toyota center.

    I know the answer!

    Hire Daniel Tosh (comedian)

    to recuirt

    Chris Bosh!

Why? is it because their names rhyme? Yes. And also because Daniel Tosh is hilarious...

Surprised nobody has put this up yet:

    http://blogs.chron.com/jeromesolomon/2010/05/rockets_begging.html

Rockets begging for a big name — and you can help!

If buying overpriced tickets and rooting for them win or lose isn't enough, the Rockets are now asking for your help begging luring a big-splash free agent.

From GM Daryl Morey on Twitter:

"Send your big splash free agency recruiting ideas to ideas@rocketball.com. Out of the box ideas welcome--FA jersey on Sam Houston's statue? If we end up using your idea-and he becomes a Rocket-we'll introduce you&a guest to him at a gm this yr in courtside seats from the Rockets."
You could make a difference for your team. Don't know how many of you participated, but last year's e-mail campaign to lure Marcin Gortat to Houston failed. (That wasn't the worst thing until we realized David Andersen was Plan B.) You have to do better this year.
You have my permission to use my recruiting suggestion. I wondered in the "begging Gortat" entry last year: "What will Morey do next offseason when real star players hit the free agent market? Will the Rockets ask 17,000 fans to come to Toyota Center to show Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh just how they will cheer for him if he comes to Houston?"

How special do you think Chris Bosh would feel if he walked into a full Toyota Center with the house screaming his name as if he were a rock star? I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

Maybe when Mr. Big Splash hits town to talk to the Rockets, Morey could hire a James Brown impersonator to deliver a stirring rendition of "Please, Please, Please."

If that doesn't land a big star, I don't know what will.

Maybe one of you front-row seat holders could donate your private plane to fly Mr. Big Splash to town. Of course, the team would paint your jet in Rockets Red, with Mr. Big Splash's number on both sides.

By the way, if you're stuck and want to win the contest, I have dozens of these.

Do you have any better ones?

If Bosh is your desire, ClutchCity.net says:

"It's time for Houston Rockets fans, as they've done so often, to step up and unite once again," ClutchCity.net says as it asks you to join the begging movement to bring Chris Bosh to the Rockets. "With just 2 minutes of your time, you can have an impact right now."

    And here's how.

Wow! Talk about being cynical! Solomon was being particularly nasty (or snide) this morning. No doubt this will most certainly "offend" everyone here gleeping for Bosh but then that was his intent. Let the Solomon insults commence...

I do not get paid to recruit.....

I pay for tickets that pays Leslie Alexander who pays you to recruit.

-I think that this whole trying to get a big name all-star thing is getting a little too much hype with the Rockets and putting too much pressure on Morey.

There is no need to PURCHASE an all-star just to have an all star. I would rather be the loveable, hard working Rockets that surprise people, than the Rockets that pay max money and ruin the chance of drafting future franchise players and developing all-stars. I

Not to be too cliche but Ive always heard that you get a much more loyal, and better dog when raise them from when they were a puppy.

These three+ first rounders over the next few years are our chance at getting our new franchise players, rather than overpaying for big names with big Knee problems.

Chris Bosh is not the Answer. We have a great organization, if he wants to be a part of it then he should pursue us.

^ WTF thats not what Clutch wrote in his email what a ****in idiot I swear I think he is just jealous that Clutch has far superior writing skills than he does.

OH and for the love of god people DO NOT CLICK THE LINK DO NOT CLICK THE LINK

and if anything it probably shows that solomon is a member on this board if he received that email. so yeah the more y'all post about him and his "articles" the more he actually wins.

so dont even bring it up I suggests Mods delete any of his future articles from the site.

Some of the ideas thus far:

Fly/bus the entire Red Rowdies Army to 'prospects' home town.

    -David

    -------------------------------------

Have a local Houston furniture store offer the FA a free top of the line posturepedic mattress with no strings attached. Then have a small speaker installed inside that mattress that plays a very low volume subliminal message saying "You want to play for the Rockets"

    -Mark

    -------------------------------------

Paint their jersey number on the space shuttle.

    -Brad

    -------------------------------------

    To whom it may concern,

How about this: Get as many rockets fans together as possible (hopefully 3,000-5,000) and have them uniformly say “(player x) if you don’t come play in Houston then we will cut your ---- off.” If you guys don’t use this idea then you are idiots. Thanks and Best Regards.

    Very Truly Yours,

    -Mark

I know as a general rule we want people to post links of articles posted.

But I think we should make an exception for Mr. Solomon. We should make a point to not include links to his articles. Mods? Yay? Nay?

Morey is the one tweeting this stuff...why are we worried about putting pressure on him when he's putting it on himself as well? For him to be pursuing this it shows he strongly believes a guy like bosh is needed.

And yes it would be great to draft a dwight howard, a kobe bryant, and watch them develop, but that doesnt happen every often. We dont have any young player even close to having that kind of ceiling, so why wait? We've been lucky enough to stay fairly competitive despite losing stars and having injuries. The downside of that is you don't get amyn high picks. That means the chances of getting and developing a star are slim. We're not in a position to sit and wait, but we are in a position to combine various assests and trade them for a big one.
