It was him and David West. It's hard to win an NBA game playing 2v5.

This is an easy one. Darren Collison and it's not even close. I love my boy Brooks as he's a former Duck but Collison is light years ahead of him in terms of the better pg.

Collison is about 3 years younger and is a natural pg. The dude was putting up 16+ assists a night when CP3 went down and he got those assists while passing it to players like David West, Marcus Thornton, Stojakovic, Okafor and Devin Brown. None of which whom are what you call offensive juggernauts.

Anybody that's good enough to replace arguably the top PG in the league is obviously very special.

I swear some BBS members think way too highly of our own players.

I am completely happy with having the NBA's Most Improved Player on my favorite team.

I voted for Collison as well. I like what I see out of him more than I what I see out of Brooks.

No disrespect to anyone though, Brooks is a great player and I'm grateful for having him on the team.

I pick Collision mainly because he'll be on rookie contract for 3 more years. If Yao is healthy and we resign him to max next year, we almost could not afford to resign Brooks.

    Fixed.

This might be the reason why CP3 wants out of NO. Maybe because they're not built to win.

Brooks is in an offense that has no clear POINT MAN in the idea that its about constant ball movement, off ball screens, picks, rolls, pops, basket flashes, baseline cuts etc.

Collison is an offense heavily relied on the PG creating the offense with dribble penetration and mid-post screens to free up the roller for easy ally's.

Brooks is called upon not to be a distributor, the offensive scheme takes care of that, he is called on to facilitate the offense in making shots and driving to the lane, and finding the open men when its his turn. Collison on the other hand is required to be a distributor because that offense is based on PAULS skillset.

This thread does not make any sense. Collison is not available for trade. Why discuss having him or not?

Collison will be a better player than Paul. AB is no where close to him.

    > Darren Collision or Aaron Brooks?

AB of course because Collison is not available. Lets give AB some love.

    YOFs, STFU.

They are kinda similar. Small, scoring PGs. Collison hasn't proven he can start. I take Brooks.

Obviously he's not available, but neither are so many of the players talked about here. This is just asking who you think is better, or does better in their respective systems. Chill, there's plenty of crap threads over discussions that have happened so many times... at least this is new.

Mods, feel free to lock if you feel there's no space, but there is no GA or RM going on so this is the crap that the whole garm is filled with, no official stuff. So I don't see how this would be taking up space.. neither did 402 ppl so far.. and some of you if you don't like the thread, don't post in it, you'll just end up posting in another useless thread, just like mine. ;) it's not like theres anything official to post in these days.

Errr, there was a difference in the records with Chris Paul and Collison. They weren't built to win it all, but when Paul was healhy they made the playoffs in the WEST. That's a much better accomplishment than the lottery team Collison helmed. Also a team that already has a frontline of Okafor and West shouldn't be THAT bad.

I don't think the gap is big enough to really warrant a trade. Better to keep continuity. And NO would be nuts to do that trade. Regardless of who's better, Brooks is due a new contract next season while Collison has a couple more years on his rookie contract (I assume).

I think what he meant was; there has been no mention or talks of any trade involving AB for Collison.

Collison a player, Brooks as a member of the Rocket. He fits that Bibby role that Adelman used in a great fashion.

Anyways, if I had to take one. I'd take Collison in a slight fashion.Defensively, he's far better at pressuring, playmaking wise far superior it's just shooting which he isn't even close.

It's a tough call really, it can go either ways.
