Darrel Revis makes CBing seem so easy. He just stays with them step for step. Its crazy how good he is. I wish Dante Robinson was as good as him.

In his Viking days he wasn't a slouch but he was a quitter. He's always been a quitter, go ask Cris Carter that.

maybe, but he's probably gonna finish 2nd in all time receiving yards, he is number two in touchdowns, so the only thing we can say about his individual career is that he wasn't as good as rice

Yet he is arguably number two all time. Not bad for a sloucher.

I also don't think he could make those comments about Moss or TO if he saw them in their primes.

Moss did score 13 touchdowns this year. If he keeps up this pace, he will surpass Rice's TD record in 5 years.

I heart AJ. I want to see what this man can do in the playoffs.

A 6-5 guy who can a run a 4.3 40 and catch anything. Moss could have been the greatest.

    Lmao.

Sanchez already has set precedent for Jamarcus standards by eating Hot Dogs on the bench during a Raiders home game.

You gotta think nobody will throw at Revis next year.

He'll turn into what Deion/Aso became. You respect them enough to understand your offense isn't going to do jack unless you throw at the other side of the field.

I think he would call Moss a sloucher during his prime. He was quitting on the Raiders, being a malcontent his last year in Minnesota. Admittedly took plays off. He could just turn it on as good as anyone when motivated to do so.

Owens probably not. Owens has always been a crybaby, but he always worked hard. Problem is he drops at least 10% of them and is slowing with age.

I think you'll see more offenses do what San Diego did, and move their star WR around the field to get away from Revis.

    Wow.

Nnamdi is on First Take right now and he just took Skip Bayless to task for saying that he (Nnamdi) gets more help than Revis does. He had to explain to him how Revis is also benefitting a lot from the pass rush and #1 ranked defense around him, whereas Oakland still employs an archaic form of defense in which they never play zone, it is always pure bump and run, man to man.

You could tell he was a little nervous about going at him, but he calmly stated how he plays man to man the entire game, with maybe on occasional play where he'll blitz off the edge.

Major props to Nnamdi for calling out Bayless when most of the time everyone else on that show just lets him berate them over their opinions.

There are a lot of bad sports personalities, journalists, analysts, etc. out there, but Skip Bayless takes the cake.

I'd still take Nnamdi over Revis, anyday.

Different systems, different styles of play.

For a cornerback to learn how to shut down a receiver by himself one-on-one in today's NFL is mind-boggling.

Aso and Revis are undoubtedly better shut-down corners than Woodson, but sports writers for some reason cling to interceptions when it comes to assessing CB play which is just stupid.

    IN OAKLAND

a team that won four games, but he had Kerry Collins, in his second year there he had some guy named Andrew Walter for 8 games. Quick, who is Andrew Walter

In fairness to Revis, he is a large part of why the Jets have the number 1 defense, and he is a huge part of why they can afford to blitz so often.

Is that a slap at the coaching staff?

The worst year of Raiders football ever. Starting Aaron Brooks after washing out with the Saints.

Then enter Andrew Walter, 3rd round pick out of Arizona State with the Mobility of a Statue. Think Drew Bledsoe wearing cement shoes.

Horrific Offensive Line. Abysmal Secondary. I have no idea how that team won 2 games.

The worst offense I have ever seen in the National Football League to this day. It makes any recent Rams offense look like the 99-01 Rams.

Art Shell being completely out of touch with the game and alienating the players. Hiring his old Offensive Coordinator. A man who had been running a bed in breakfast in a small Idaho town for the past 15 years because he had failed miserably as a small-college coach.

I don't blame Randy one bit for quitting on that team. That was a trainwreck if there ever was one.

Nnamdi is a company man, and why wouldn't he be. Al Davis rewards loyalty.

He's now the highest paid defensive player (per season) in the league.

He's smart enough to understand how to very carefully insinuate that his defensive scheme makes it harder for him to succeed while at the same time toeing the line.

It's not an accident that Tom Brady and Daunte Culpepper had their best seasons when Randy Moss was on their teams.
