How about that Darrell Armstrong? He's been a Washington Redskins fan since he was a kid, and after giving a holiday greeting to the hometown Dallas Mavericks' fans on Sunday, he finished it with "How about them Redskins?" He was peppered with boos (although reports are that Dirk Nowitzki got a chuckle out of it) and then hit with a $1000 fine from coach Avery Johnson that will go to a Dallas charity. Mark Cuban didn't seem to appreciate it, but you have to admire the guy's loyalty.

any maverick that can piss off the whole stadium of mavs fans is a likeable mav in my books.

(for those who didn't know, the redskins beat the dallas cowboys on sunday, putting a dent in the cowgirls playoff hopes)

Why would you get fined for that? If it was not going to charity, I bet he would appeal and win the appeal.

I saw this today, he is now one of my top ten players that are not Rockets. And the Redskins did'nt beat the cryboys, they spanked them.

I saw the clip on TV about how he finished with a huge smile and said, "How 'bout them Redskins!?!?" Hilarious!

i'm a cowboys fan so it's a good reason for me to hate the mavs and him more. but seriously, why in the hell would he do that? you're IN dallas smart guy, where pretty much the entire city and area are COWBOYS fans....way to get the fans to like you. i bet he gets booed everytime he sees the floor, which isn't a whole hell of a lot.

Hey Parlett. SpiritKnight from D-B.com here.

It was a good hearted fine. I don't think Cuban or AJ was offended in any way since they were laughing at the huddle afterwards. The Cowboys get to decide which charity it goes to, though :p
