You mean taking a big hit on his confidence by playing behind the deepest frontline in the league and playing for a coach that's notorious for not trusting rookies?

Those Piston years really hurt his development

Part of it is because Darko's a lot like Rasheed when it comes to temperament...he's really emotional (his serbian before was pretty epic, as was the way he ripped his jersey in two when he had enough in Memphis), and he's also really lazy (disappears on the court).

Actually Rasheed Wallace is a good comparison to Darko:
    1. Sky high potential
    2. Versatile big man
    3. Hot temper
    4. Lazy/unpredictable on the court

Minny is probably a good place for him, no pressure, and the cold weather might calm his hot head once in a while.

Lets make sure he doesn't encounter a "re-death" any time soon.

I'll vote for the third option: On drugs AND one of the dumbest players in the NBA.

Maybe he's not getting to the line because he's making most of his shots (60%).

He took 18 shots to get 23 points in one game and 17 shots to get 22 points in another. His only really efficient game was the one where he took 14 shots to get 21 points.

His TS% is 43.1% this year is absolutely horrific for any position, but especially for a big man.

Making a high percentage of shots does not preclude one from getting to the line.
