ive never even heard of this dude. he is more powerful then the living tribunal? or is this a dc guy?
You know what I realized the other day? How absolutely sh**ty a good chunk of comic book writing was in the past. I used to read comics a while back; months ago I came across a bunch of them in the attic of my parent's house. I hauled some of 'em back to Houston...and while some are as good as I remembered, a lot of the writing was absolutely horrible. You guys are talking about how good what characters are but I think (as it should) it always comes down to the writing. Green Lantern, for example, was one of my favorites...but they let so many crappy writers handle it that it was a crime. We're talking about a character who combines the cosmic side of things, the 'god-like' powers side of things and the human side...and they still can't find too many writers who get it right. Some of the X-Men stuff of the past was freakin' horrific as well. Superman, Batman, Hulk, Spider Man...all the same. To me, and I think this probably still holds true, the "good" comic writers (i.e. good writers in general) are miles and miles above everyone else. The gap is amazing.
