Harden did it in the NBA, House is doing it in the GLeague that's a big difference. Also 3 game sample size vs 16 game sample size, not sure if you realize that. I don't want him on the roster because he hasn't proven anything. OMG 39% from 3 in the GLeague? Hartenstein is shooting 62% in the GLeague, how did that work out for him in the NBA so far? Not only that his "career average" consists of 2 freaking seasons so when you say his average is decent there just isnt enough info to say that considering he is shooting only 30% from 3 this year in the GLeague. I know all the House fanatics like you are raving over him based on the 25 games he played, but that was earlier in the season, we live in the present. If the dude can't dominate the GLeague and is getting outplayed by both Hartenstein and Terrence freaking Jones then you have no evidence he will perform at an adequate level in the NBA. Name me 1 gLeague player that played like a scrub in the GLeague but then played great in the NBA immediately after. Thats like saying a guy who is a bottom feeder in China is immediately gonna become a superstar in the NBA. The world doesn't work this way. If House wants to play ball then ok I would love the Rox to have him for multi years on the cheap, just like I would love Clark and Green on the same deal. But clearly he wants to use the team as a springboard, so if the value is not there why bother? Taking a risk on somebody with no reward? Thats just dumb.
Yeah because his history of being cut from 2 previous teams suggest his NBA performance is not the mean and his GLeague performance is closer to his real performance. Would an NBA starter get cut after 1 year from 2 other teams? Logically speaking an NBA caliber player should never struggle in the GLeague it doesn't matter if you played 25 games or 60 games in the NBA you shouldnt have a season long bad performance in a lower level league. This is like you saying James Harden would be a scrub in the CBA.
Daniel House...the 2019 player CFs is arguing over. Who's gonna be the one in 2020? That cant miss talent we all yearn for? It's always the one that's over not there. The grass is always greener...
I already posted his g-league stats in the 2017-18 season, which was 39%. His NBA career average is 34%. That's why I called it decent. And I did not say that he would be a starter if we were all healthy. There are plenty of players who got cut a few times in his career but still a solid contributor in the league. Why do you keep bringing up him being cut but avoid talking about his overall performance over a few seasons both in the g-league and in the NBA? Look, if one of Paul, Harden, and Gordon is hurt, who would you want to be the backup SF? Clark or House? We don't even have Ennis to fall back to now.
If any of those 3 get hurt we are screwed. House can't hold their jock in talent level, he is more like a PJ backup, not even at PJ's level.
Green is about the only guy who could get hurt and I’d feel ok that we have House there to take his spot. And if I’m being honest I don’t even think he could do as well as Green has for us.
We'd still have Rivers for the guards rotation. But we wouldn't be able to play a three-guard lineup anymore. You'd have to slide Tucker to the 3 and have someone back him up. That's was my question. Who would you rather be that someone, House or Clark. Let's say Gordon is hurt. The lineup would be: Capela/Faried/Nene Faried/Tucker Tucker/Clark/House/Shumpert Harden/Rivers/Green Paul/Harden So assuming Nene would only play spot minutes, the six guys that would play major minutes are: Paul, Harden, Tucker, Faried, Capela, and Rivers as the 6th man. Unless you want to stick to a 6-man rotation (which is not beyond MDA, LOL), who is going to be the 7th man? It would be one of Green, Clark, House, and Shumpert. If House could play as well as he did in those 25 games (a big IF, I know), we still would have a chance to contend. If Clark or Shumpert had to be the 7th guy, we'd be truly screwed.
Dude do not debate this dude. You’re going to be wasting a lot of time. Very similar to tallanvor. No offense ros, I’m sure you’re cool irl and all
I'd love House.... on the Gary Clark Jr type deal. Taking this hardline with House is certainly gamble, especially with our baffling injury plagued season. However having this core of young, rotation players (optimistically role players) on cheap 3 year deals in House, Clark, and Hartenstein is prudent with our cap situation.
And I already said 39% in the GLeague isnt great. Hartenstein is shooting 62% FG and he is crap in the NBA. Career average of 34% in the NBA based on 25 games doesn't mean anything when he is now shooting 30% in the GLeague. For reference Gerald Green shot 45% 3 pt in the GLeague and is shooting 36% in the NBA. That's the normal trajectory of players, you shoot like a god in the GLeague you become average in the NBA. House' career average of 36%-39% in the GLeague shows his 3 pt in the NBA is an aberration, if he was really that good he would be shooting better in a much weaker league. What overall performance are you talking about? He got cut 2 times this is his 3rd year in the NBA. His overall performance is getting cut thats why I bring it up. He got cut as recently as last year is that too old for you? His career is that of getting cut we should start calling him Edward Scissor Hands. Clark is way better as a backup because guess what he is already on the roster and doesnt have crazy ass demands while having a piss poor track record. I would rather the team devote their time, energy and training on Clark because that would pay dividends now and into the future.
We need more overrated players on this team. Underrated players are taking away overdeserved minutes.
