That amount will not always be there, it is no guarantee any team will offer him a guaranteed contract let alone 3 years.

i have no issue with him betting on himself my issue is with people thinking he is guaranteed to get more money that the Rockets are offering.

This 3 million amount is especially hilarious that posters keep saying he will get.

Why does it matter to me if Tilman saves money. He ain't going to lower ticket prices.

This is a guy that did NOT look out for his best interest but instead the team's, by playing through an injury when he should have sat. that alone cost him millions of dollars.

Ok so just on your logic....you think the rockets that thought he was worth that wont take that if he comes back next year wanting that? That's almost a 95 percent chance. U don't go down especially when in ur system u saw what he had. Maybe another team would. But not the team that thought he was worth that much. Unless he got hurt. He has done nothing to lower his stock with the rockets that's for sure

I am a big House supporter. If the Rockets are offering 3 years guaranteed he needs to take that offer immediately. The first 5 years in the league are an audition anyway. Outside of the Lottery picks you are not going to make or have a big contract. You bet on your skills once you displayed them. The only way you will get to display them is playing for a team and coach like ours. His Agent has done him a disservice you take guaranteed money from a contender now if you want to fight about player, team,or qualifying offers inside the contract but you get the deal done

My #1 salary cap source. For the sake of your brain, and so @BimaThug doesn't have to waste time:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rockets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Rockets</a> can unilaterally convert House for this season at any time through April 9 and still have him for the playoffs. But then they’d likely lose 1 or 2 out of House, Rivers and Faried this summer. They want him beyond this season. <a href="https://t.co/ovEJx1mys2">https://t.co/ovEJx1mys2</a></p>&mdash; David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="">March 3, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This remains a possibility, although not an ideal outcome. If House is not converted, he’ll be a RFA this summer, and the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rockets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Rockets</a> would only need to offer him another two-way contract to make him restricted. <a href="https://t.co/bauMM8P4Xm">https://t.co/bauMM8P4Xm</a></p>&mdash; David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="">March 3, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Playoffs or not, the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rockets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Rockets</a> can still make House a RFA this summer. But if he was last on an NBA contract, his QO would be about $1.85M (instead of just a two-way contract). <a href="https://t.co/OWd5Kj0HMT">https://t.co/OWd5Kj0HMT</a></p>&mdash; David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="">March 3, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rockets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Rockets</a> can still convert House this season, but there seems to be a war of wills going on. At this point, I expect HOU will give House the F-U treatment by waiting to call him up on March 24, getting his services for free, then converting him on April 9 for $17,092, if at all. <a href="https://t.co/4ecdJ5RdjC">https://t.co/4ecdJ5RdjC</a></p>&mdash; David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="">March 4, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

My logic is that maybe they find somebody else who takes that money who they think is comparable or better.

Maybe his antics with Twitter gives them pause that he would not be a great teammate.M

and like you said he might get hurt.

all of those are plausible scenarios which means that money will not always be there.

After realizing Rivers is shooting 54% on FT's and 64% for his career, I started giving 0 fcks about retaining him. Useful player when we needed him and as insurance in the future but give me Gordon, Shumpert (whose bird rights we have) and House as backcourt backups any day of the week.

I wonder why @BimaThug said Rockets want to retain House beyond this season. Is that a guess or does he know something or did I miss something?

Omg, you got a beef with Rivers. That's so transparent. Dude is a great fit for us and a very good option if CP3 goes down.

Rivers will be a big part of the playoff rotation cause if there is one thing he does well is to guard these star pgs in the West.

There are a lot of factors why the Rox won't sign him if he does not play ball this year.

First is replaceability. Ok House played well in his first 25 games in the NBA. So what? He is now playing like a scrub in the GLeague, Rox might think other GLeague players can do the same when given the opportunity. TJones tonight had 2 pts and 4 rebs in 4 mins, that shiws other GLeague players can also contrubute to this tean not just House.

Second is precedent. Rox don't want other players to think they are pushovers when it comes to negotiations, how will Gerald Green and Gary Clark feel if the Rox keep chasing after House? As a fan we can post how awesome House is day and night but if you are managing the team you also need to take into account other players' feelings. Lakers and Celts didnt do that now their team is a mess.

Finally is House's hubris. If I'm Morey I would be insulted House is biting the hand the fed him. That dude doesnt have 1 single grateful bone in his body, Rox were trying rehab his career instead he thinks he deserves all the money in the world and is in record saying he doesn't owe the team anything. If I'm Morey I don't want a dude like that being part of the team and getting close to Harden.

Unless there is an injury, would be shocked if House is on playoff roster.

    That boat has sailed.

There is no one on Vipers with Harden's gravitational pull creating wide open space/easy opportunities for guy like House who can hit open 3 or drive to basket.

Vipers play fast but floor little more crowded, that extra spacing Harden generates cannot be underestimated.

Plus House probably playing at half speed so as not to get hurt. He feels he has already done enough to get that big contract - his tweets confirm this attitude.

    This is so true.

Per Bima's tweets (listed above), it looks like there is a real possibility the Rockets do NOT bring him back for this years playoffs, instead extending him the $50k QO for next season.
House can (a) take the QO and earn $50k next year, before finally become a UFA and getting that big fat slab of ca$h he thinks he has earned
    (b) sign a 3 year vet min deal (guaranteed), and earn his stripes in the NBA.

Essentially (to me) it looks like this is the best business sense model for the Rockets to pursue.
House has definitely screwed himself by not signing. Shock, horror.

Nobody is offering $3mill to him in the off season. Nobody. Especially not when his QO is $50k.

i dont give a damn about any of this contract BS. all i know this team is better with house, and house is better fit than an undersized shumpert who can't shoot. i just want this team to WIN at all costs. I just wish tillman had the same attitude. its not like the guy is asking for a max deal jesus christ
