Best of luck to my boy Poochie House, I know he doesn’t get a lot of love on this sub but I actually grew up and went to school with him. So I’m glad he was able to not only make it to the NBA but to play on his hometown team. Hopefully he can get on with another team soon

He was loved here until he pulled his stunt in the bubble. We really needed him that series. Maybe we still don't win, but it just made all of us sour on him. He was cool before that.

I surely did not think he played that many games to be loved.......he missed a lot more due to various reasons, not all are his fault.

His 3 point percentage went down with every year.

There was a period when he was effective and hitting 3s. That is true but it was short lived.

I think he had a love in this forum after that 2018-2019 season. He was disappointing in the playoffs that year, but we still had hope for him, which he did decent in the next season as well.

I find it more like infatuation. A glance, a fling, maybe a spark even.

Hey, he did have a name that rings in your ear.

(Personally I preferred Ben McLemore or even Austin over him.)

I cannot bring myself to compare him to beloved players like Scola, Landry, Yao.

Even Brent Barry, Jon Berry, Delfino, Cisco Garcia, Lowry etc.

Fans love fringe role players who show flashes of what might be.

I would love to get a late 2nd rounder for him too but I am honest enough to know that you can get someone from the GLeague to do his job, or even a better player.

He opened the door to re-visit his bubble incident. ~ approx. 40 minutes in. ~56

Danuel House: Okay, so y’all heard the way the story was painted out. It’s like if this was the room, the NBA just walked in, and boom, there’s House and the girl together. That’s how they made it sound. But nobody was in my room. That’s how they made it sound. Hey, before you say anything, nobody was in my room. If someone had been in my room, like they said, they would’ve kicked me out of the bubble. I was still in the bubble. I had to pass a test. If my team had taken the series to Game 7, I would’ve been able to play. I had to serve 10 days in confinement just because they said someone was in the room. -via YouTube / September 15, 2024
My agent was hitting me up, asking what happened. And they basically said, “You did it.” I’m like, “How did I do it?” They said, “Because you opened up your door, and word of mouth said you did it.” Word of mouth! I said, “There was nobody in my room.” Man, I cried because I felt like I was on the verge of really making a name for myself in the bubble, like Tyler Herro did that year. I was thinking, “This is my time.” -via YouTube / September 15, 2024
Honest to God, nobody on my team knew what was going on. Everyone was in disbelief. James even came to my room, like, “Bro, why didn’t you tell me?” I had to apologize to my team, even though I didn’t do anything. I had to apologize to my city, knowing damn well they didn’t catch a girl in my room. I remember I had to sit there with a look on my face, like, “I really have to do this when I didn’t even do anything.” -via YouTube / September 15, 2024

Is this the first time he has commented on it? Man, we got screwed, big time. But he lost millions because of something that didn’t happen.

    sheesh

btw: this really deserves its own thread, or bump the bubble thread when it happened.

I don’t think I believe House. He said he apologized to his team. If I got accused of something I didn’t do, there is no way I’m apologizing for anything. Never ever.

I don’t know who is telling the truth. So, I believe no one. Anything is possible.

At least D house got to speak his side.

I recalled House had decent defensive matchup numbers against LeBron. We needed all the fire power that series.

    Tsk tsk.
