Also this really doesn’t show the Griz any respect. They are a good team and if you think they are going to give up so that Harden can get some rest, you are crazy.
D'antoni doesn't trust our young players. Harden is going to break down before he wins his 2nd MVP at the rate D'antoni is riding him.
Daryl is one of the most analytical focused GMs in the league who has discussed player minute management at length — I’m sure he and mike have reviewed the topic.
Should have gotten Harden his rest in the 4th and accepted our loss. I mean, if winning these games isn't a priority, I absolutely agree we need to play Harden less minutes.
The Rockets are four games in the loss column behind the Nuggets for the #1 seed, two games behind the Warriors for the #2 seed, and only two games in front of the 9th place Kings. They don’t have the luxury of resting Harden when their second best playmaker is Austin Rivers, unless you like losing. Even resting him much when Gordon is the second playmaker is a stretch.
Go cry. Yet again, D'Antoni played his starters 38-40 minutes even though the game was a blowout for most of the game.
If the call out becomes official, does he have to pay a fine or something? I think at a minimum he should be required to feel bad about the situation.
Over 400 points in ten games: puts Harden with Kobe and MJ. 35/5 in eight straight games: passing Oscar Robertson. James Harden is happy; OP is pissed.
i think we've heard enough of this dialog already? NBA coaches have to produce or the end of hakeem had to play 38 minutes a game in order to win. what's the deal? harden is not injury prone like others. he's built like an NFL running back. i think he can handle the minutes...
Yeah, the overuse of Harden is really starting to irk me. Like I said when this topic was brought up on Reddit, I'm praying that the other shoe doesn't drop but expecting that it probably will if something doesn't change. In my opinion no one is built like LeBron James. Harden has been doing a great job of avoiding injury this far, and I hope it continues, but...
Mda has a history make starters fatigue. Gordon will play with pain next game. Other team starters are trying To take a rest. This is a good thread.
If you want to WIN games your choice is 1) Play Harden or 2) have Morey add more depth via trade. Just "playing more bench guys" isn't good enough. Not with CP and EG not available. It is what it is. The Feigen 3-points article put it bluntly... The volume of what he does has been as stunning as it has been necessary.
