Sorry, I decided to continue posting. What's with American imports like Dave Simmons and Cecil Exum nurturing better basketball sons in Australia than actual NBA players do with their children in the U.S? There's much better competition and resources in the States. The genes should be better (for NBA players' kids anyway). I mean Dave Simmons and Cecil Exum were good players in Australia, but pretty average by U.S. standards. More like D-League level players. Yet their kids are probably going to be two top 5 draft picks in successive years.
Baskteball is getting really big in Australia, on Dante i know for a fact that Luc Longley (yes not a Superstar) has been mentoring Dante in his road to the NBA. People like MJ, Kobe, LBJ have really globilsed the game of basketball in AUS and with people like Bogut, Mills, Baynes, Dellevadova playing in the league has given more exposure to the game. On your point about scrub fathers who have talented kids, who knows BTW we should have Irving as our starting PG as well imagine that Irving Dante Simmons Insert local competetion scrub or Houstons own Anderson Bogut Man that could if been a scary team

The Dante Exum fan club much like the lin fan club only focus on what makes our star player look like MJ!!!!
Another injury this time pattelar tendon - out indefinetely Man I rarely see this dude play, when he does, he did quite well against us in last years playoff. But this kid just cant stay healthy and be on the floor.
Jazz resigned him and i never understood why they paid him so much, sure, his defense is good, but i don't think he was going to get paid in free agency, after 4 years he was still way too limited, had multiple injuries too...
I think it may be best to return him to Australia and play our NBL or send him over to a different market like EuroLeague, Japan Basketball League or China. He doesnt have the athleticism for NBA and the way he plays is full on dangerous for his body at a young age. If he wants to play there for a few more years so be it but his body wont keep him up. Surprise, surprise that Jeremy Lin surpasses him (Exum) as a better foundation player. Everytime I think how the longevity of Jeremy Lin in the league and his Linsanity days, I can't help but think of a better video than this.
