Agree. The interviev was really cool and tmac sounded pretty well. Man, I;m so excited about next season
well he said he just ain't selfish. he'll pass when he has to. he separated himself and lebron from kobe.
As I remember he did say it. He just added he doesn't have to take that many shoots like he did in Orlando.
Man, T-Mac's got an ego. He didn't want to admit that Kobe is the better player. But I guess if he did admit that, he'd take a lot of heat.
At this point in their respective careers, TMac is better than Lebron. Lebron has a longer and higher ceiling ahead of him, what he does with it is up for debate at this point. But, going into this season, McGrady is simply the better baller. He's smarter, and understands how to win in the NBA better at this point. Lebron may wind up the better baller over time, but if I had to go to war with one or the other tomorrow in a game 7, I'd take McGrady over Lebron.
IMO, Kobe, LeBron, and Wade are the trinity right now. They've separated themselves from the rest of the star wing players. T-Mac might be top 10 (I need to see if regresses this year) overall, but I think his top 5 days are over.
Good interview. Does anyone know anything about this site? Is this what Dan Patrick has been doing since leaving ESPN?
Hm. Last season, he was coming off the serious back injury the previous season and he showed up out of rhythm and game shape. Yet, over the course of the season, he still managed to average 24, 5 and 6. I would give him the benefit of the doubt that in this coming season, he will be able to reclaim back his spot in the top 5, if he is fully in shape, he is not troubled anymore mentally with his back, and if the Adelman offense does make things much easier for him.
Listening right now. Dan is the best in the business. Good interview, nice to hear Tmac's involvement w/ Darfur.
Maybe, but not every player has a killer mentality. Every player has his own demeanor in playing the game, so you can't change Tmac's attitude. However, if you listened, Tmac does everything his team needs, and for every team he was on, he did his job, whether it be defense (toronto), scoring (orlando), and everything else (houston), and he does it well, so you can't ask for more. And for all the people who says he doesnt step his game up in the playoffs-just look at his damn stats and you'll see he does and more! As a result of him doing everything, he gets tired towards the latter half of the game. He has to have help at some point......so yeah I'm done ramblin'
