Also worth noting that Turner will be an RFA, Pacers can (try to) hold onto him if he works out

Better a 25 yo RFA than a 31 yo UFA coming off injury

Pacers failed this trade, big time. ET has inflated stats and his short arms adds to his already porous D.

Sam Hinkie is completely loading the 76ers with picks. Interesting.

You didn't know? Garcia and Casspi are the 6th, and 7th best SF's in the game. With Parsons being the 5th best. How dare we trade them away.

Depends who you listen to on clutchfans..

I've been here for awhile and realized many on here don't know what they are talking about. Every situation is different, I will say Evan Turner is a better fit for the pacers than he would be here.

He's using Morey's fantasy football, draft only running backs strategy. The one that didn't work out.

Seems to me that he REALLY wants to clear the cap space, plus everyone he got in return are all on expiring contracts.

When the smoke clears we need to find someone to tally up exactly how many 2nd rounders Hinkie confiscated from other teams and it what years exactly.

He will be the trade up king within the next 3 years.

Turner only shoots 43% from the field and 29% from 3pt range. That sounds like a terrible bench player.

Or maybe he'll become a Rudy Gay and become better when constraints are placed on him.

Turner is really not that great. Not the worst in the NBA but probably of average usefulness at best. Pretty good on ball skills, but not really explosive or dominant and lacking 3 point range-- which is important for perimeter guys in today's NBA.

Don't know how Indy will use him, but don't see him fitting in Houston's game plan. I'm fine with getting an elite player like Rondo and giving him the ball, but it isn't wise to take touches from Harden, Howard, Parsons, Lin, etc. and give them to Turner to dribble around and shoot midrange J.

Also, he makes $6.7M, which means any trade for him would have to cost Asik or Lin. I'd rather keep each of these guys over Turner.

How many of Philly's second round picks are 2014 picks?

How many rookies can they realistically carry on the roster next season?
