Look like Perkins seriously injured himself in Game 6.

Nice guy, but not worth a lottery pick. Possibly worth a trade down. But we already have Scola and Hayes...not sure how Perkins fills a need when he's such a low scorer.

    Bingo.

Perk would be a perfect Backup Center here but for the Celtics to just give a 25 year old Defensive Big man away there has to be something wrong with him.

If Danny Ainge just wants to get high, I can hook him up with Bonzi Wells...

Nice guy? He seems pretty mean to me. Not sure how Perkins fills a need? Did you watch the Rockets last year? We weren't exactly owning the glass.

Teams that need Perk are the playoff teams looking for someone to stop guys like Gasol and Howard, that's where his greatest value is. So the only teams that would trade for him are Utah and possibly NO. I don't think #14 gets it done, I don't know if #9 gets it done either.

...seems like a poor strategy by Ainge but then again, he did openly shop his best player(Rondo) most of last year so clearly he just doesn't care too much about loyalty.

If true, my problem with this rumor is there is likely no teams willing to give up a high draft pick for a center going into major knee surgery with so much uncertainty - a center who is nothing more than a good role player at best. Bigs with leg/foot problems generally have recurring problems. I mean if you really wanted a young center with an injury question marks, you mind as well inquire into Andrew Bynum - at least he gives you everything Perk does plus the ability to chip in 20pts a game IF healthy. So knowing there will likely be no takers, why risk straining your relationship with your starting 25yr old center unless you were breaking up the team and if that was the case, openly shop your older players, not one of the two guys you would likely rebuild around.
