I think it was Barkley's ankle, not his knee.

    Whatever !! We won anyway.

I think it was Barkley's CHOKE-ITIS that always seemed to plague him in big games in the playoffs.

And it's laughable to blame the loss on an injury to Barkley. Barkley spent the last 10 years of his career chronically injured. If it wasn't his back, it was his ankle or knee. If it wasn't that, it was some muscle ripping off the bone. And, if it wasn't that, he was so hung over from partying he couldn't run the length of the court without getting a headache.

But, what do you expect from Ainge? He's still in denial that we flat-out KICKED THEIR ASS that year.

Anyone who saw Charles Barkely's performance in the 1993 WCF would never make the ludicrous statement that he choked in the playoffs.

Playoff chokers don't drop 50+pt/20+reb games to get their team to the Finals.

How come this turned into a "Barkley is a choker" thread? I hated Charles with a passion when he was a Sun, but now he is one of my favourites of all time.

Anyways, lets keep this thread about how Ainge is the ANTI-CHRIST! I am glad Horry threw that towel at Ainge. I absolutely loved it.

Nah, it was the knee Dak...

In fact he had to keep getting cortisone injections in his knee during the games to ease the swelling.

All I know is that I was never worried when Barkley had the ball in the latter half of the 4th quarter against us....whereas I'm sure Phoenix didn't have a warm fuzzy feeling when Hakeem had it in his hands.
