“I’ve been called Vortex. I’ve been called Gumby. I’ve been called He-man. I feel like the biggest one I like is from my first coach(Andre Patterson) Gumby. That was a cartoon before my time.”

Among #Texans defensive end Danielle Hunter nicknames: Vortex, Gumby and He Man

This is not good at all.

    Better than "motor" though.

This essentially worked out like a trade, the Texans got Hunter and the Vikings got Greenard and Cashman. Hunter will make 24.5 million a year and Greenard and Cashman will combined make 26.5 million a year.

I like these moves for both organizations, as the Texans can afford to pay a little premium since Will Anderson and CJ Stroud are on rookie contracts for a few years. Minnesota has to watch the purse strings, since they are a more veteran team.

    Hunter 2 years 49 million.

    Greenard 4 years 72 million
    Cashman 3 years 25.5 million

When I saw that one live during the game I yelled "Damn!" and scared the dog. Beautiful move.

Moreover, I love the non-foreceful hit / tackle that would have gotten him flagged.

    Bravo!

Caserio's gonna need to put his contract restructuring voodoo to work this offseason. Hunter's not the only one.

    Hunter isn’t worth that. Regardless.

NFL contracts are wacky, it just all depends on how it's structured.

He's already on a contract for this season. Is he talking about 30 million for a third year in 2026?
That would be 79 million for 3 years. Now I'm wishing we had kept Greenard and Cashman.

Greenard had 12 sacks this past season too, and is getting 72 million for 4 years. That's 18 million a year, which is a bargain compared to the 30 million Hunter wants. Greenard is also 3 years younger than Hunter.

That's a huge difference when we have guys like Singley, Anderson, and CJ to think about for extensions.

You really know how to read a stat sheet Debs, haha.
I’d still take Hunter right now. We have our young cheap star in WAJ
