Shiloh showed me today that he is freaking horrible. He looked lost, hoping he was in the right place and gave up the Titans only points. That could be chalked up to lack of reps but now is not the time to have to give playing time to a project. He made a great ST play but whiffed on some tackles on defense. That seems to be his game, blow someone up or let them run right around you. He is no more than a special teams player, and I would rather see us bring in a veteran safety.

Troy Nolan will do just fine till Manning returns. Both Safeties in Wade's scheme seem to play interchangable roles.

i have faith in Troy for the short run but getting manning back for the home stretch of games would be great. He's just such a solid player back there, not only in the passing game but run stopping...he's a very good tackler

Manning is a solid player in the scheme of things and is one of the more consistent tacklers on the defensive side of the ball, Nolan is a great fill in, but i'd love to have Manning back for the home stretch

Huge loss. Nolan is pretty awful in coverage. He's made some nice interceptions that have masked how bad he his at reading offenses. Blown coverage after blown coverage when he is in the game.

Ehh.. Manning consistently let his man get beyond him. Nolan will probably be fine.

Silver lining is that we go against 3 below average QBs in the next 3 games before the bye, with a rookie QB next week. Wade Phillips should blitz the hell out of Gabbert and mix up the coverage so he won't see the light of day.

As I said in the other thread, if it is Fibula it is a non weight bearing bone and he could come back pretty quickly, if it is Tibia, that is a bit more serious...

Manning has had his gaffes but he'll be missed. More than anything our depth suffers. Unless i'm mistaken Nolan has been giving quinn and manning breathers this season. I hope Keo doesn't fill that new role. THat guy has no business being out there on defense.

Consistently is way too strong a word to describe Manning blowing coverage. He does get beat (I warned of as much in the offseason) but it is not consistently. His play along with Glover has been a big lift for this team. Competent safety play has helped the defense so much. Nolan is a big step down and Keo is even worse. Let's just hope it isn't for the season.

The Texans have got the injury bug bad this season. :(

Shouldn't have been on the field. Penalties kept the Titans drive alive.

    This can't be stressed enough.

Jags, Browns, Bucs, Bye, Jags... if he can come back for the Atlanta game, we will be sitting pretty.

this times 1,000. my guess is the Texans will pick up a free agent safety this week who will see considerable playing time soon.

I thought Shiloh was cut before the season started. He had a horrible camp. I was surprised to see him out there and had to rewind the DVR to see the name on the back of the jersey.

Seriously, this guy is John Busing all over again.

We only have 3 safeties on the roster with Barber now on IR.

Keo is literally a tweaked ankle away from starting. Yikes.
