I couldn't have said it any better myself. Le Bron deserves every word of it for his classless act. :p

    MORE:
"He quit," Gilbert told the AP. "Not just in Game 5, but in Games 2, 4 and 6. Watch the tape. The Boston series was unlike anything in the history of sports for a superstar."

Gilbert also charged James quit in the Cavs Game 6 loss against Orlando in the 2009 playoffs.

"Go back and look at the tape," he said. "How many shots did he take?"

Gilbert also said James never returned a phone message or text since the end of the season, and added people had "covered up for (James) for way too long. Tonight we saw who he really is."

The criticism would have been more convincing if it didn't come from the guy who enabled everything that LeBron was being criticized for.

Dan Gilbert kissed Lebron's ass year after year and now complains that Lebron acts spoiled.

Come on Carl, even you gotta admit that Lebron could have handled things a lot smoother instead of being a attention w**** and pissing on the Cavs.

Gotta say...I thought the letter was pretty awesome. Nothing would make me happier than seeing Dan Gilbert's proclamations come true. Lebron's always come across as a bit of a punk, and the recent circus only further affirmed that.

Now it'll be interesting to watch the impending car wreck to see what kind of dirty laundry will come out. :p

And of course Gilbert tried as hard as he could after the 'quitting' to sign James to a max contract.

I'm going to cut him some slack. He lost lots of money tonight. His team is going to lose lots of money unless he acts like Heisley.

Lebron acted like a b**** for sure-- don't begrudge him for leaving, or wanting to play with his friends, but the TV special thing is just laughable.

But Dan Gilbert is no better. He's no hero.

If Lebron was such a quitter, why did Dan Gilbert bet Lebron to sign with the Cavs at the very first place? He can always let Lebron goes!
Dan Gilbert is basically slapping his own face!

Wow. lol What a douche. Cavs fans should also look at this dumbass as another reason they never won anything.

Is Gilbert the guy that makes the final decisions? Because if he's the guy that thought 50-year old Shaq and Antwan Jamison were going to help bring them a ring, Cleveland should run him out the door right after James.

Well this is kind of inciting. So i do not approve. Some fan might get some dumb idea about his house or friends. Never a good idea to practically push the issue once its done.

What a bitter and juvenile thing to say, after the fact.

I can't say I think Lebron made the right decision or even went about making his decision the right way but ultimately it was his decision to make. He was only doing what so many free agents have done before him and it was probably in poor taste to hold a special but come on it wasn't as bad as this.

Gilbert comes off as a spiteful childish sore loser, and that, imo, is much worse.

Dan gilbert is a whiny b****! If lebron gave up on the team why would you want to sign him to a max deal seems r****ded to me? He is just mad because his team went from top tier team to a bottom feeder and he will lose millions!!! owners trade away players like its nothing and say its all business and now its wrong for a player to do the same? Cleveland is who hyped up lebron(who is the best in the NBA) and his "witness" and "king james" and now you are bashing on the guy who made Cleveland actually relevant in the basketball world. He gave you 7 years, numerous playoff runs, and a finals appearance; and what do you do to return the favor? burn his jersey and crap on him...funny! no wonder cleveland never win anything! Lebron's antics and his attention w**** personality is what made him so popular in the first place; he is that good. Do i like how he controls the media and how they favor him? No, but he sure does know how to take advantage of the fact that he is the biggest name in the sports world. He goes to florida leave 30 million on the table...point being he wants to win and party his ass off!! At this point money is whatever to him, he has so many endorsement deals taking a little paycut wont do **** to him financially. Was the espn special necessary? No it wasnt but dont treat lebron like crap just cuz he wanted to win. lebron will be lebron he will still get attention and now he just has another city full of lebron haters who 24 hrs ago were worshipping him!! Good luck cleveland you will need it, and only way dan gilbert can pull off that championship he guarantees is if the Cavs join the WNBA!

From a fan, fine. But if youre an NBA owner, extremely classless...

If anything, you should be thanking him for everything. In fact, nobody would even be reading any letter by you, because they wouldnt even know who Dan Gilbert or the Cavs are, if it wasnt for him!

Not the guys mother, but this is unacceptable.

People need to wake up and realize that Gilbert has no choice but to say these things. It's a calculated business move designed to rally fans and keep season ticket holders from canceling.

    How is that ether?

If LeBron quit in the playoffs and so many things was swept under the rug then why is he mad LeBron left, and why did he even try to re-sign LeBron?

Give the guy a break. He's just lost millions of dollars in season ticket holder revenue; he has a right to be upset.
