    Why would he tweet his agent is lying to him?....Anyway, glad they are not getting Dampier...we never needed him to begin with...

    And why pay $4 million this season until you find out if there is going to be a "THIS" season.

    I think Hill's recent play plus lack of Taylor suitors might have more to do with it. Maybe the Rockets are hoping to get Hill more playing time and hope he can impress to raise up that trade value.

    maybe his agent hid the fact that houston was keeping him and tried to still get a trade...the faster JT gets some PT and breaks out the faster he'll collect a % of a larger contract.

    My guess it that both the Rockets and Damp decided he wasn't the right guy after all after their slow start-- they don't want to lose a young talent in case this bad season continues and they need to think about "rebuilding," and he doesn't really want to join a rebuilding team that may be looking to give young players more minutes.

    Taylor's agent is his go-between for info from the Rocket's front office. Taylor reportedly requested a trade before the season. If his agent was trying to get that done for him he could have been telling him it'd happen anyday after the Ericka to Houston news...

    Or instead of adding another $2M to the payroll/tax they may want to reserve that for a needier position say PG.

    I agree we need Dampier. Rockets still having problems defending the paint and rebounding, but I would rather hold onto JT and let go of Jeffries.

    What if Martin's ankle injury was more serious? JT would then be needed to backup Lee.
