Tonight proves we don't need Dampier. We are better with Hayes and Scola on the floor than any other combination of center and small forward. Dampier makes a slower and older. He is not the answer. He takes Jordan Hill's minutes.

We have a verbal agreement from him but he can't sign until the Rockets clear a roster space (likely Taylor's spot).

Agreed. Not to mention why spend the cash when we clearly aren't contending yet.

agreed. i dont know why rick is so hesitant to play Hill. our young players ish/bud/hill are explosive beyond consideration, not to mention Hill has shown he can play some D and and add some size. This 0-5 business is not our players faults in my opinion, RA has been coming up with some whack shiz. shane at 2? really??

    sorry, im mad

Uh... because Hill is still very unpolished and prone to make mistakes. Ish looks great but he can't seem to score consistently around the rim and Cbud had an off night against the Spurs. These all very good young players but no, RA shouldn't be giving them extra minutes because of their possible "explosiveness beyond consideration."

I think Hill did a better job on Duncan than Hayes did. Hill's length and explosiveness seemed to bother the Spurs more than the guy whose 6'6" with quick hands did.

If Yao suffers a season-ending injury tonight, will you still feel the same? Dampier can be Hill's backup.

Yes, then we should go right into tank mode.

    Develop the young guys.

No, I am saying if Yao breaks his foot, then I want a complete young guys playing rotation.

Rockets no longer signing Erick Dampier, Jermaine Taylor's agent Michael Whitaker said Sunday.

So we're stuck with Miller and Hill?

Wow....we needed center depth and we're going with over-the-hill Miller and a prospective center who is really a PF.

Shocking but then again it's not. I wonder if this might mean the time limit might increase sooner than later?

I think Hill's play last night had something to do with it
