    Well, here goes...

I love <s>Erica</s> Erick Dampier. :( But ONLY because he's now a Rocket.

Your turn now, big guy. Time to earn our respect.

I hope this is true, he brings a much needed defensive presence to the court. What happens to Miller now though?

So THIS is why I stay up half the night on CF!

I wasn't exactly chomping at the bit to get Damp in Rockets red...especially with all of this indecision and what seemed like lollygagging around. But if this report turns out to be correct, I'll support the hell out of Erick if he plays with determination.

This could save our season, because it is such a huge need...

    BUT

I WISH we would have given Jordan Hill a chance. He is a better player than he is getting credit for, imo...

Regarding @therocketguy report that Dampier is headed to Houston, a source close to situation tells FanHouse there is no verbal agreement.

This must mean Hill is on the way out. I dont see the need for him anymore now. Dampier brings good big man presence to stop layups.

    Splash indeed :)
Now i am the happiest guy here since we will be adding more bulk, alrtering shots/blocks, D and rebounding.

Mmm i really wanted to buyout JT and keep Ish on the roster but iwe cant meh, he will be at best another GTemple clone.

This is weird and totally unexpected because Morey stated he thought Dampier was waiting for the china trip to be over and that after there was no progress at that time, he considered it to be over.

Is the first reply seriously a mentally challenged person? Miller is much better than Cook and Dampier. The reason Dmapier didn't have a team for so long is not because he's good. It's cuase he's a b****.

No **** he's better than Cook, but RA may elect to play Dampier more than Miller based on his stout interior D. We have plenty of scorers, and with Yao limited to 24 min/game, we're in dire need of a big body in the paint.

Miller saw a whopping 3 minutes of action against GSW... mostly based on match up issues, but what makes you think he's a significantly better option than Dampier? Sure, he's a better passer, is more comfortable with RA's system, and has a better J, but Damp's the far superior defender and he can finish around the bucket. Not similar players at all, but based on our needs, Damp will see the floor. The Cook reference implies that he's going to be one of the last men off the bench... not that he's similar in talent level. Miller will be used selectively.
