I did not see posts in regards to Dampier and physical (other than my own).
Is it really true that JT has to be off the roster before ED takes a physical?
And if he does not pass?

Assuming the above to be correct, it would be a double whammy if we traded JT and Damp does not pass his physical.

I'm out of the loop in regards to Dampier. But seems like other teams passed on him - but "we" want him? Well I don't. And I don't want to let go of JT.
Thinking about the Denver game. The Rockets have always seemed like a happy team. They did not seem happy Sat. night. I don't recall a smile on any face - even when they were playing well. Could the ED/JT in/out be really bothering them? Something was.

Get this, the Heat are interested in Eddy Curry!

You heard that correct, Eddy freakin Curry!

If they would pick Curry over Dampier, makes you wonder how bad Dampier really is!

If I were going to the NOH game I would have a sign saying "No Damp - Keep Taylor." Would I be the only one?

A Rockets executive might approach you and say you sure you want to hold that sign up? Because if we do this trade it may lead to another trade that may make you a very happy fan of the Houston Rockets.

I doubt it - unless we get some of our former players back.

What was bothering them is the hole they've dug themselves with no wins yet this season

Yeah, what a great idea. Let's keep our 3rd string SG who is stuck behind two young guys that aren't going anywhere, and let's not pick up a Center who can fill in very nicely when Yao sits out second nights of back-to-backs.

I honestly can't believe people would rather keep Jermaine Taylor, who probably won't get any playing time for a pretty good while.

Seriously. And that 3rd string SG is nothing but a ball-hog, to make it worse. A poor man's Von Wafer. Once he gets the ball, either he's going to shoot it, or... he's going to shoot it. I don't get why some people would take him over Dampier, and I don't even like Dampier.

    Rockets receive:
    Earl Clark
    2012 Nets second round pick

    Bulls receive:
    Jermaine Taylor
    Chuck Hayes

    Suns receive:
    James Johnson

Why for Houston? Rockets pick up an athletic prospect in Clark, a potential player who hasn't worked out in Phoenix and on the last year of his contract. Just no point to have 8 big men on one roster, Chuck won't have much of a role after Dampier signs. I don't expect Clark to crack the rotation or even get off the inactive list, but he's not a bad sweetner in a deal for an all-star. Rockets also get a potentially top 10-15 pick in the second round of a likely deeper draft.

Why for Chicago? Bulls simply needed a shooting guard, Bogans won't cut it in the playoffs. Hayes brings more defense to a Chicago front court.

Why for Phoenix? Suns swap forward prospects but Johnson is the better player and he's shown improvement recently.

Probably will get bashed for trading Chuck but whatever.

Signing DAMPIER doesn't change Hayes role one iota. Dampier is a Center, Hayes is a PF. Hayes has only played pf this year. Yes even when he started he was guarding David Lee (PF). Do you get that are or you just being stupid so you make a trade for another stupid trade that the Suns and Bulls would never make.

Nobody "passed" on him Mavs had to trade him to avoid paying him a lot of money). He talked with and visited other teams but chose to play for Houston. He will be able to help this team. He is a guy that knows how to protect the rim and rebound. Those are two of the only things he has done well his whole career. He never developed into a real scroing threat. We dont need him for that.

Look everybody, we are only 3 games in. We still have 96% of our schedule to play. We are the only team dealing with limiting one of, if not the best, players on our team minutes. Who else is having to deal with that right now? There will be adjustments to figure things out. We already knew going into the season we would finish with about 45-50 wins. So that means we would lose 32-37 games. We already lost 3, so what. We have 29-34 more to go. It's inevitable... Why all the crying? If we are still struggling like this at the end of Dec, then ok, we have some serious issues and changes will need to be made. Until then, just relax a little bit and watch the team get it together....
