"Now, the Rockets have reportedly turned their attention to trading Taylor and sources say that thirteen teams have expressed interest in the shooting guard. The Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards and Miami HEAT are among the teams interested in acquiring Taylor, according to a source close to the situation."

Looks like we won't have any trouble trading JT.

Yes, they are, but this is the writer who broke the Dampier news. He posted it on Twitter way before the Rocket Guy's article.

But interest could simply mean calling to see what the Rockets wanted. It really means little.

The Rockets could throw cash into a deal to cover most/all/more than all of JT's salary. There should be at least a few teams who would like to get a player like JT for what amounts to substantially less than the league minimum, if not free or less than free.

Meanwhile, the Rockets save more money in salary and luxury tax.

    Everybody wins.

That probably is the best scenario BimaThug. Didn't think of that.

Completely false. Teams do this all the time... Actually, If I remember correctly C-Bud and JT were both 2nd rounders that were "bought" by Morey

Even though he still making some mistakes, JT has improved since he first got here. I think he has a lot of potential, and I have a really bad feeling about letting him go.

Yeah. I get a Kelenna Azubuike vibe about him.

But it's just a numbers game.

Preferably, the Rockets would be able to clear up their frontcourt situation instead. Eight PF/C's is way too many.

    Same.

Taylor isn't useless - he's certainly a guy who could be a 3rd shooting guard off the bench. Very athletic and tries hard defensively and can certainly score.

I don't see the Rockets having to send any 'incentives' to take his contract off our hands. Surely we'll be able to get a 2nd round pick from the Heat for him?

I would crap my pants if Morey can get a first rounder, but I doubt it. More likely it would just be swapping of 2nd round picks.

Taylor can ball. The Rockets are going to look stupid for letting him go when gets minutes somewhere and is dropping 12 ppg in 20-22 minutes almost immediately. Hell, I'd play him now considering he has "lock down" ability on the perimeter. What is there to lose?

We have a roster that's out of whack, in my opinion, with too many "assets" for a deal that hasn't happened, that don't seem to fit together as a team. I think a larger move is needed than adding Dampier and losing Taylor (which may come back to bite us... you never know).

doesnt matter if taylor can ball or not, be productive or not, it just dewpends on who adelman wants to play, ive noticed a bit in games adelman isnt very keen on switching players during the game, like when AB played almost the whole game against the lakers stuff like that costs games.

They would fit together if the coach would be willing to put his foot down and temper the rotation down to 8 or 9 guys.

Someone already mentioned this but releasing or trading Taylor reminds me of the Kelenna Azubuike situation. The dude will be a productive NBA rotation guy someday just needs the chance and the right system.
