Dampier to report to Rockets! [UPDATE: JT's agent says Houston-Dampier not happening]

Told you guys it would be Taylor, good news for the Rox and for Taylor...he was just never going to get a shot here in Houston.

That's not a done deal just yet.

If there's no team interested in trading for Taylor, but there's a team willing to trade a second rounder for Ish Smith, that may be a big enough swing, money-wise and asset-wise, to warrant keeping Taylor over Smith. Especially if Adelman is comfortable running Courtney Lee at PG for a few minutes per game.

 

Never in a million years...Ish is an NBA talent, they won't trade him to keep Taylor.

This is not an asset management decision, this is a NBA talent situation.

Taylor has no place on this team other than cap filler on a trade...and that is a marginal amount of $$$$ anyway....he is toast.....you could see the writing on the wall...or at least I could.

as far as i hate the stupid dampier, well, i guess now i have to adjust my thinking anyway. Hope he can prove himself useful, earn our respect.

I think one or the other has to be cut or traded. Seeing as it's most likely to be Taylor , they are hoping to trade him. Why didn't he just pass the dam ball??!!!

Ish Smith CANNOT be traded before December 15. He was a recently signed free agent.

So, if there's a trade to be made in order to clear room for Dampier, it will NOT involve Smith.

Those videos dont even show his horrendous hands. It's either a fumble or a botched layup when you pass it to him.

 

Look, honestly if we're paying brad 5M and we're paying Damp 2M I'd rather get Damp. But we already have Brad! LOL why are we getting another center?

And yeah, solid move to further bury our young prospects in the ground. What, we wanna "Darko Milicic" both PP and Hill? At this rate we'll be lucky to add them as sweeteners to a trade, and later on we'll look stupid when these two guys look like studs down the road.

I some times don´t understand, posters with a lot of time in this site, guys that that for the most part, are fair when judging something/someone, and then post videos of someone getting posterized/dunked on when trying to prove a point....

I guess people prefer Scola or Brad Miller, they never get posterized, I am not 100% sure, but I think they don´t even jump when defending, only when going for rebounds

Even Yao is useless, he got blocked by Nate Robinson, I guess he sucks, and those 7´6 are worthless

Give me a break, Mutombo got posterized during his career, BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?????

I understand people that say that he is not the same guy he once was, (talking specifically about athleticism)
I understand people that say he has 0 offensive game...
I understand people that don´t like his attitude when playing against him...
I even understand people that say that we have too many players for the C and PF position, and as Rick is proving, he doesn´t like to have a 12 man rotation, and I understand that, but the Yao situation obliges the team to have other 2 Cs ready to play... (Hayes/Hill are not centers in this league)

This is A 2M 1Y CONTRACT
Some of these people are the same that hate, and get frustrated about or interior D when Yao can´t play, or when we can´t rebound, but then they say that Damp is worthless, because all they want is flashy player with offensive skill.

WE DON´T NEED FLASHY OFFENSIVE SKILLED BIG MAN, we need hard nosed "give me that f.... rebound fool" kind of player, and in my opinion, Damp will help, for a bargain contract

And i don´t even love him/his game, but I understand what our team needs when Yao is out...
