So overall UH is pretty sweet if you stay one step ahead of the prof's? ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams fan club. Web site coming soon atheistalliance.org
I do admit that once you get done with all the low-level core classes and into your major the profs get better. I'm a business major and U of H's college of business is highly regarded. It still doesn't mean I like U of H. Many of the employee's are still rude, the food services still are subpar, my back still hurts every single day, I still have "F"s and "A-"s on my transcript that shouldn't be there.... DEANBCURTIS, I highly recommend (especially if you will be paying for school yourself) that you take as many hours as you can at North Harris Community College. Then transfer to U of H (If that is where you are most likely to end up). You will save a ton of money and you'll probably know a little more too. I found that on average the professors at NHCC were much better than U of H professors, especially in the core courses. ------------------ "I have a DREAM.........his name's Hakeem." DREAMer -- Man, that really bites (about the professors). I've found most of my problems with the university to lie in administrative matters, not with the professors. As a matter of fact, I love my most of my professors (Moretta's an amazing History teacher, same for Williams and Biology). The only thing I've found beneficial about the Honors program is the scholarship. The dorms aren't all that spectacular and the Quads seem so cut off from the rest of the University. I've petitioned most of my regular classes as honors rather than take the actual honors course simple because I find the professors in the program arrogant and overbearing (and often inept). I wouldn't reccomend this school if you had the opportunity to go elsewhere but for the money, it ain't too bad -- just stay off campus. ------------------ It doesn't matter if I have a signature!
