Why do we have to be so harsh? You live by the sword...

The following are excerpts from posts by DreamStillKills, viewer discretion is advised...

Hey foo, Hakeem is still the best player in the NBA and if you think otherwise you need not go to this damn site because Hakeem's dreamshake created clutchcity you little biaaaaaatttttchhh. Oh yeah by the way this is the Rock and I am going to lay the smack down on your candyass.

You know I've been thinking that Hakeem is the best player ever and I have seen a lot of stupid people saying that he is not as good as he used to be or as good as ... all these others ****** players that have no business even saying Hakeem's name. You know what I mean. You Know!! You know!! I think we should ban all Hakeem bashers from this site and in fact I don't want to see any of that **** around here.

That's right I am not a Houston Rocket fan, but I am the biggest Hakeem Olajuwon fan you will ever find. And I will tell you another thing, it was Hakeem who two championships for Houston and if you doubt that then you're just plain stupid. Being a Rockets fan without Hakeem is like being a Clipper fan so in 2001-2002, "GO BLAZERS".

Having Jordan would suck, because he sucks. I am glad we never got him if we could have had
him. Man I hate Jordan. Damn Jordan sucks. How sorry is Jordan? He is really sorry. Sorry excuse for a player. Jordan can't hold a candle to our very own Brice Drew.

Oh and don't say **** you don't mean, "I'll be really sad when Dream retires," because we all know you don't mean a word of that.
(This is you calling me a liar.)

If you met Hakeem I feel sorry for him, especially after he saw me.

So please don't cry about us being too harsh to you. You bring it on yourself. And don't try to say you were just defending Hakeem. I don't think he needs your help.

For all you hakeem lovers, dont be surprised if the Dream gets his ass spanked by the Monkey tonight. [IMG]

Ewing is doing really well because he is giving his all. He wants that ring really bad. Hakeem doesnt even care cause he has a ring so hakeem doesnt try as hard. ( I dont think he even tries)

But I hope hakeem can kick his ass tonight like he did everytime they use to meet.

But if he doesnt and we lose, OHH WELL THAT MEANS ONE MORE LOSS AND A BETTER CHANCE AT A LOTTERY PICK!

    Either way we dont lose!!!

We win that will be great to win against New York in the garden but if we lose then the draft is good!

In all sincerity, (that's for you DSK) I hope Hakeem does take Ewing back to school, BUT even if he does, our backcourt needs to control the game. If we limit turnovers, make our freethrows, and play some defense, we might have a shot.

...See, this is an easy game... [IMG]

I gotta admit that sounds pretty funny. Heh,Heh,heh. But Hakeem has 2 rings , so when the season ends, and Indiana wins it all,--- Hakeem get's the last laugh! [IMG]

    Mulder, WHOA there fella, WHOA.

Since when is being a Hakeem Olajuwon fan a problem?

Hakeem was the main reason I got involved in Rockets Games in the first place.(Simply watched Oilers games before, oh, the painful memories)

The fact that an admitted Blazers fan can come into our forum, and cheer on our aging superstar should be applauded, not ridiculed.

And to all the other posters who feel this way, let me tell you, trading Hakeem would have been a huge mistake. END OF STORY

    Remember Nolan Ryan?
    Remember Earl Campbell?

The Rockets will be better soon enough, and our franchise also showed that it knows how to take care of it's players. That is worth its weight in gold these days with Free Agency.

Let DSK speak his mind about Hakeem, optimistic as it is. After all, Hakeem was better for the City of Houston than Michael Jordan ever would have been. And who knows? Hakeem could possibly turn it around, starting tonight. Always keep the faith.

I agree, there can never be to big a Hakeem fan, and plus I am sure that he will get his game back soon, hopefully. I would hate to see him go out next year just like he is right now.

I appreciate the fact that he thinks Hakeem is a great player.
What I don't appreciate is his crappy attitude. He wants to talk smack. Fine. I'm giving it right back to him. He calls people on this board stupid, b****, liar and says that they should be banned for thinking differently than he does. We all have opinions about this team. He "expresses" his. Should I just sit here and not respond?

Now, now I prefaced my comments to the Duckmeister with an apology and stated that I did not mean to single him out. DSK will get no such luxury.

Wow, I can't believe this post isn't getting hammered....

    Ewing 16 points
    Hakeem 4 points -- 0-9 shooting.

Man, remember in 1994 when Hakeem lit up Ewing for 37 in the Garden? Boy are those days gone.

What? Ewing had a sub-par game, and all of a sudden Dream made it happen? In case you didn't notice Hakeem didn make a single field goal (out of 9 or so), walked when he was supposed to run, and wasn't exactly a 'presence' on the boards or D. He had a couple of good blocks, but they didn't make a difference in the end, did they? So how do you figure that Dream rocked Pat?

Yeah hakeem is so great this is what he did in the 4th quarter according to ESPN

"Houston's Hakeem Olajuwon sat out the first 9:49 of the fourth quarter and spent one late timeout clipping his fingernails"

DSK: "Yeah that's right he is the best and I have a feeling he will show it against MONKEYBOY Ewing. All you who said Hakeem should retire will be eating your words."
The only one who is going to chow down is you. Would you like a salad to start with sir?
I really hate being right all the time. Wait, no I don't...
